🚨 Hotfixes – March 20, 2025 (The War Within, Season of Discovery, Cataclysm Classic)

Intro

Blizzard has released a fresh wave of hotfixes affecting The War Within, WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, and Cataclysm Classic. These updates address class tuning, item bugs, and dungeon boss mechanics across all three versions of the game.

🛠️ Hotfixes – March 20, 2025

🧙‍♂️ Classes

Druid

  • Guardian

    Fixed an issue where Marked Cards could sometimes target unintended enemies.

  • Restoration

    Fixed an issue where the 4-piece set bonus from the Undermine Raid Tier Set failed to apply its periodic healing effect when the Got Your Back! duration was extended.

🏰 Dungeons and Raids

  • Path of the Light now correctly teleports players to the meeting stone in front of the Sanctum of Holy Flame.

Operation: Mechagon – Junkyard

  • Fixed an issue where Rixxa Fluxflame’s Explosive Burst of Compressed Gas would continue to knock players back even after the channel ended.

Theater of Pain

  • Fixed an issue where Demonic Art: Overlord could kill players affected by Blood and Glory during the encounter with Xav the Unfallen.

🎁 Items and Rewards

  • Final Measure of the Gladiator’s Prize now correctly increases Intellect.
  • Fixed an issue where the effects of Original Mana Reservoir wouldn’t activate after a player was resurrected.

⚔️ Player vs. Player (PvP)

Warlock – Destruction

  • Fixed an issue where the 2-piece bonus from the Undermine Tier Set was being unintentionally nerfed more than intended in PvP.

🌍 Cataclysm Classic

Dragon Soul

  • Claws of Go’rath should no longer throw players under the terrain.

  • Ultraxion (Players can now correctly use positional abilities (e.g., Backstab, Shred) regardless of their facing or position during the encounter.)

🕰️ WoW Classic – Season of Discovery

PvP

  • The up to 50% battleground health bonus buff has been disabled.
  • The global damage reduction in PvP has been increased to:50% for physical damage
    60% for magical damage
    (Previously: 25% and 40% respectively)

💬 Developer’s Note: Players now effectively have 50% more survivability in world PvP against all damage types. Battleground performance remains unchanged.
