How Many Tokens Can You Earn in WoW's 20th Anniversary Event
The most important currency during WoW’s 20th anniversary celebration will be the Bronze Dragonflight Celebration Tokens. Players can use these tokens to purchase key event rewards, including revamped Tier 2 class sets, pets, mounts, toys, and transmogs. Players have speculated how much of this currency can be earned each week.
To start, here’s how the developers described earning it:

Players who collect 100 Bronze Dragonflight Celebration Tokens during the event will unlock the ability to earn additional tokens through activities dedicated to WoW’s 20th anniversary. For those eager to obtain all Tier 2 armor sets, there’s no need to worry. After purchasing the first set for 60 tokens, you’ll earn the ‘Enhanced Regalia’ achievement, reducing the cost of the second set to 40 tokens. Purchasing the second set grants the ‘Classy Stylist’ achievement, lowering future sets to 20 tokens. These sets can be bought from armor vendor Traya in the central pavilion.

Weekly open-world activities:

- Theater Troupe
- Special Assignments (2 times per week)

Once players collect their first 100 tokens, they will unlock unlimited token earnings in the following activities:
- Blackrock Depths Raid Bosses
- World Bosses
- Timewalking in classic dungeons via Group Finder
- Participation in ‘The Chrona Codex’ via Group Finder
- Daily ‘Korrak’s Revenge’ quests
Developer comment: We want the new epic rewards of the anniversary event to feel special and earned by players. To achieve this, we’ve designed a reward system that helps them obtain their first Tier 2 armor set within the first 2-3 weeks, depending on playstyle. We understand many, if not all, players will want more sets. Therefore, we’ve implemented discounts and expanded opportunities for earning currency that will become available after the initial weeks. This will allow players actively participating in the event to collect all thirteen sets and many, if not all, of the other new cosmetic anniversary rewards. If you don’t have time this year, don’t worry—you’ll be able to obtain these sets in future anniversary events.
It is currently impossible to accurately calculate how many Bronze Dragonflight Celebration Tokens players can earn each week due to the variety of sources, many of which can’t yet be fully tested on the PTR, as well as the discounts and additional unlocks.
However, content creator Soulsobreezy estimated that players could initially earn about 70 tokens per week, with the process speeding up after achieving the milestone of 100 tokens.
One-time tasks for the group:
- One-time quests – 15 tokens
- Daily quests – 21 tokens/week (3 per day)
- Weekly The War Within activities – 20-25 tokens/week
- Weekly anniversary activities – 18-20 tokens/week
- Secret finding – unknown
Repeatable tasks for the group:
- Blackrock Depths bosses – 8-12 tokens
- World bosses – 1-2 tokens
- Timewalking dungeons – 1-2 tokens
- ‘The Chrona Codex’ – 1-2 tokens
- Daily ‘Korrak’s Revenge’ quests – 1-2 tokens
Therefore, players at max level with access to The War Within will be able to get their first armor set within the first week. Players without the expansion will need to wait longer, but given that the event lasts for 2.5 months, they should still be able to acquire most rewards.
According to calculations by a player named Mordane, collecting all rewards, considering discounts, will require 486 tokens. He and Munhergen have created an interactive table with prices for all items, which can be purchased with Bronze Dragonflight Celebration Tokens and Timewarped Badges.
