New Features

This week, players will encounter the following new additions:
  • In the Nerub’ar Palace, players can now obtain the quest “The Finer Things” which requires collecting 16 Nerub’ar Decorations. This quest grants the Severed Strands buff, increasing damage and healing by 3% for the entire party. Players can gather up to 8 decorations per week, one from each boss, regardless of difficulty mode. The first application of the buff will be available next week.

PvE Events

Players can look forward to these key PvE events this week:
  • Timewalking Event: Wrath of the Lich King: Characters level 30+ can explore a selection of dungeons and a raid from the icy continent of Northrend:
    • Timewalking Dungeons include Azjol-Nerub, Gundrak, Halls of Lightning, Forge of Souls, Nexus, and Utgarde Keep.
    • The legendary Ulduar raid is also available in Timewalking mode. To access Ulduar, players must gather a group and have the raid leader speak to Chronicler To’kini in Dalaran (Northrend). You can find detailed strategies for bosses in this forum section.
  • Quest: A Frozen Path Through Time: Available from Archivist Fritrun in Dor’nogal or the Adventure Guide (Shift+J), this quest tasks players with completing five Timewalking dungeons or defeating five raid bosses in Timewalking mode. Rewards include a Cache of Nerubian Treasures containing a non-set item from the normal mode of Nerub’ar Palace (item level 597-606 “Defender” tier 1-4/8).
  • Quest: Disturbance Detected: Ulduar: Obtainable from Chronicler To’kini in Dalaran, this quest requires players to defeat Yogg-Saron in Ulduar’s Timewalking mode. The reward is a Cache of Timewarped Treasures, which guarantees a random Timewarped item from Wrath of the Lich King raid bosses (item level 610, “Hero” tier 1/6) and a small chance to drop rare mounts or other valuable items.
  • Sign of the Scourge buff increases reputation gains by 50% for killing creatures and completing quests in Wrath of the Lich King zones.
Players can also collect Timewarped Badges during Timewalking to purchase gear, pets, toys, and mounts. There is also a chance to earn the rare Reins of the Infinite Timereaver mount from any boss in this mode.
