Introduction
The Garn Nighthowl is a unique mount that not everyone can obtain from a single kill, as it follows a specific drop system. However, this mount can be traded or sold on the auction house, offering an alternative way for players to acquire it.
Due to advanced phasing technology, you may encounter different instances of a single zone on the same server. If someone announces in chat that a rare is available but you do not see it, you can join their group to be phased into the same-server-alternate-phase and attempt to secure the mount there. Most of these mounts, except for Nok-Karosh, follow the personal loot system. This means if the corpse despawns or you drop the phase, the Postmaster will send your drop through the mail. With the new group finder feature, you can easily find groups camping rare spawns or targeting Nok-Karosh.
All rare creatures that drop mounts have multiple spawn points, except for Nok-Karosh, which has a fixed spawn location. Wowhead user Obtains has crafted a detailed map showcasing possible spawn locations for rare spawns that drop mounts. This can be an invaluable resource for hunters.
For those interested in tracking their collections, Wowhead offers the Battle Pet Collection Tracker and the Mount Collection Tracker. By importing your character, you can easily view and manage your collections. Learn more about using this helpful feature here!

Encounter Nakk the Thunderer in World of Warcraft
- Bloodhoof Bull is obtained from defeating Nakk the Thunderer located in Nagrand.
This mount is one of seven new clefthoof color variants introduced in the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Its distinct deep red hue makes it stand out. The minimum spawn interval for Nakk the Thunderer is approximately 20 hours. This duration is notably longer in comparison to some other rare mounts in lower-level zones. It’s important to note that server restarts can influence his spawn times.
When engaging this creature, be aware that its health pool can scale up to approximately 15 million HP if enough players are attacking it. Fortunately, you are not required to be in a group to secure the mount. The spawn locations are situated near the Joz Navarix flight path in the northern section of the zone. However, organizing a group to cover all potential spawn points significantly increases the chances of encountering Nakk when he appears.
Discover the Enigmatic Land of Gorok
Great Greytusk
The Great Greytusk is a mount that can be obtained by defeating the rare NPC Gorok in Frostfire Ridge. This rare creature is a grey boar, unarmored, and when defeated, drops a mount that resembles its appearance.
Gorok is a level 93 elite, possessing relatively low health, making him an easy target for players who are level 100 or above. His respawn timer is approximately 7-8 hours and it remains consistent even if the server is restarted.
To acquire the mount, you don’t need to be in a group; simply tagging Gorok will suffice. His spawn locations are quite spread out across the zone. To increase your chances of encountering him, it is advisable to have multiple players stationed at each spawn point to notify others in the zone when he appears. This coordinated effort will enhance your chances of securing the mount.
