Intro
The Scarlet Halls is a 5-man dungeon in Tirisfal Glades, revamped in Mists of Pandaria to include a level 90 Heroic mode. This dungeon replaces the Armory and Library wings of the old Scarlet Monastery. It is home to three bosses: Houndmaster Braun, Armsmaster Harlan, and Flameweaver Koegler.
The Scarlet Monastery is a stronghold of the Scarlet Crusade, a group of zealots determined to purge undead creatures, often attacking the living in their blind fervor. The layout is linear, with two sub-zones reminiscent of the Armory and Library wings, leading to Flameweaver Koegler.

3. Quests
Two quests are available within Scarlet Halls:
- Rank and File – Kill 50 Scarlet Crusade members.
- Just for Safekeeping, Of Course – Defeat Flameweaver Koegler and loot his Codex of the Crusade.
Rewards from Just for Safekeeping, Of Course have item level 440.
4. Trash Mobs and Gauntlet Event
- Click on buckets of meat to throw them at Scarlet Crusaders accompanied by hounds. The hounds will rebel and kill their masters.
- Gauntlet Event before Houndmaster Braun:
- Use practice targets to shield against Scarlet Crusade archers.
- Up to 3 players can use these shields.
- Avoid fire patches on the ground.
5. Houndmaster Braun (Boss Fight)
- Avoid Piercing Throw (hits all in its path).
- Spread 5 yards apart to avoid Death Blossom.
- Bloody Mess debuff stacks—position wisely.
- At 50% HP, enters Bloody Rage (50% attack speed, 25% damage increase).
- Achievement: Humane Society – Defeat Houndmaster Braun without killing any hounds.
6. Armsmaster Harlan (Boss Fight)
- Blades of Light: Spins through the room—jump down the stairs to avoid it.
- Avoid Heroic Leap impact zone.
- Scarlet Defenders spawn but die during Blades of Light.
- Achievement: Mosh Pit – Have 4 players and 4 Scarlet Defenders caught in Blades of Light simultaneously.
7. Flameweaver Koegler (Boss Fight)
- Dodge Greater Dragon’s Breath (fire breath that rotates).
- Intercept Book Burner missiles to prevent fire zones.
- Interrupt Fireball Volley and Pyroblast.
