1. Introduction

Scholomance is a 5-man dungeon located in the Western Plaguelands. In Mists of Pandaria, it was revamped to include a level 90 Heroic mode. This dungeon houses five challenging encounters: Instructor Chillheart, Jandice Barov, Rattlegore, Lilian Voss, and Darkmaster Gandling.

Scholomance, found within the ruined keep of Caer Darrow in the Western Plaguelands, is an infamous stronghold of necromantic knowledge. Players must disrupt the sinister teachings and bring an end to its dark influence. The dungeon follows a linear progression through three sub-zones, culminating in the battle against Darkmaster Gandling.

For level 90 players, only the Heroic mode is available, offering a rewarding but challenging experience.

3. Quests

There are two instance-specific quests, both given by the Talking Skull:

• The Four Tomes: Requires picking up books found throughout the instance.
• An End to the Suffering: Tasked with defeating Darkmaster Gandling, rewarding ilvl 440 gear.

4. Boss Strategies

4.1. Instructor Chillheart

• Phase One: Kill her before Ice Wall reaches you. Spread apart (2 yards) to mitigate Ice Wrath.
• Phase Two: Dodge Arcane Bombs and fire patches from Burn.

4.2. Jandice Barov

• Avoid Wondrous Rapidity frontal attack.
• At 66% and 33% HP, identify the real Jandice by checking her hair color and accessories.
• Use BarovHelper Addon to automate identification.

4.3. Rattlegore

• Maintain Bone Armor by clicking Bone Piles.
• Avoid Soulflame blue flames.
• Tanks should kite Rattlegore when Rusting stacks reach 4-5.

4.4. Lilian Voss

• Phase One: Spread 8 yards to avoid Shadow Shiv..
• Phase Two: Kite Lilian’s Soul to avoid Unleashed Anguish.
• Phase Three: Fight Lilian and her Soul simultaneously.

4.5. Darkmaster Gandling

• Rise! summons Failed Students; kill them first.
• Harsh Lesson teleports players to separate rooms to kill Expired Test Subjects.
• Healers must dispel Explosive Pain on Fresh Test Subjects to deal AOE damage.
