Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren is a flying Stormcrow mount from Siren Isle, added in patch 11.0.7 on 17 December 2024. You get it by finding five Runekeys during a storm on the island, then using them on the five runestones in the Forgotten Vault. The mount requires level 30 to use; the final quest is a level 80 quest.

The Siren Isle storyline, its rares and its treasures belong to patch 11.0.7, so check in-game that the steps below are still available to you on a character without that progress. The side reward of the same island, the Prismatic Snapdragon, has its own section further down.
Story of Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren
Thrayir is modeled on the Stormcrow, a design that has been in the game files since patch 5.4 (Mists of Pandaria). Players asked for it for more than ten years before it appeared on Siren Isle.
In the lore, the Stormcrow Thrayir once raised a storm to destroy the enemies of its mistress, the siren Circi. Ksvir the Thunderous and the apprentice stonecarver Valven used the Blessing of Thorim to forge five runestones, each sealed by a key, and put the bird to sleep. Thrayir has slept in the Forgotten Vault since then, which is why the quest asks you to collect the keys and break the seals.
“In a fit of fury and despair, Thrayir conjured a nightmarish storm, meant to destroy Circi’s enemies once and for all. Even now, nearly ten thousand years later, echoes of this power still haunt the island.”
How to Obtain Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren
- Complete the Song of Secrets story to open Siren Isle.
- Complete the active special assignment, which is part of the achievement Siren-ity Now!. This unlocks the mission The Approaching Storm.
- Talk to Expert Mechanic Suzy Crankbolt at Wreckage Shoals to travel to the Seafury Tempest version of the island.
- Collect the five Runekeys inside the storm (next sections).
- Enter the Forgotten Vault through the Singing Tablet in the northern cave, use the keys on the five runestones, and speak to Thrayir.
Unlocking the Seafury Tempest
After Song of Secrets, max-level characters can travel to Siren Isle. The island has story quests, regular and weekly local quests, treasure hunts, rare hunts and archaeology. Some of this happens in the normal island. The harder alternate version, the Seafury Tempest, has tougher enemies, and almost everything for Thrayir happens there.
To reach it, complete the active special assignment. This opens the mission The Approaching Storm. Speak with Suzy Crankbolt at Wreckage Shoals to switch to the storm version, or to return to the normal island.

Collecting the Runekeys
You need all five Runekeys during the same storm. Three are crafted from fragments and two drop from elites.

The Warcraft Wiki ties the Cyclonic, Whirling, Turbulent and Torrential sources to the storm. If a key does not appear, check that the Seafury Tempest is active before you farm.
Cyclonic Runekey
The Cyclonic Runekey can drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker, a rare elite in Deadfin Mire in the southwest corner of the island. He is tough, so bring a group. The key can also be caught while fishing near where he spawns, which is a fallback if the rare is taken.

Whirling Runekey
The Whirling Runekey can drop from Ksvir the Forgotten, an elite in the Forgotten Vault. You reach the vault through the Singing Tablet, which stands in a cave in the northern part of the island. The fight needs group coordination.

Turbulent Runekey
The Turbulent Runekey is made from 3 Turbulent Fragments. Kul Tiran ghosts mark where they are. The Warcraft Wiki lists these three places:
- a dirt pile at the Ghoststone Diggings, about 38, 51;
- a Runic Fragment on the ground in the Rotting Hole in the southeast, about 67, 78;
- a Runic Fragment held by a Kul Tiran ghost at a runestone in the Spirit Scarred Cave in the north, about 52, 38.
Thunderous Runekey
The Thunderous Runekey is made from 5 Thunderous Fragments. They come from repeatable treasure chests on Siren Isle:
- Runed Storm Chest: on land, during and outside the storm; needs the Runecaster’s Eye.
- Sailor’s Treasure: underwater around the island outside the storm; needs Blessing of the Seadweller.
- Runed Chest: inside the Forgotten Vault during the storm.
Torrential Runekey
The Torrential Runekey is made from 7 Torrential Fragments, which drop at a low rate from monsters on the island during the storm. This is the slowest key. The original guide recommended killing the quickly respawning skeletons and kvaldir in the north, where mobs are close together.
Freeing Thrayir
With all five Runekeys, enter the Forgotten Vault through the Singing Tablet in the northern cave. In the southeast room of the storm phase you find the sleeping Stormcrow surrounded by five runestones. Use each Runekey on a runestone to break the seals. Thrayir wakes and offers the quest “Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren”, which rewards the mount.

Prismatic Snapdragon
How to get it
The Prismatic Snapdragon is another Siren Isle mount, a ground mount that changes color. You get it from a quest chain that begins with “A Lifeline” and ends with “A Loyal Friend”, both level 80. Find the Starving Snapdragon Runt near Wreckage Shoals and feed it each day. The island’s normal version is enough; the storm is not needed.

Only one quest of the chain can be completed per day, so the chain takes at least 10 days. Missed days do not reset it. The snapdragon grows through three stages: it becomes a Growing Snapdragon Runt after “A Lifeline”, a Maturing Prismatic Snapdragon after “How to Tame Your Snapdragon”, and an Adult Prismatic Snapdragon after “The Storm Within”. Between those milestones the daily quest is “Hungry, Hungry Snapdragon”, where you bring food from island creatures. “A Loyal Friend” gives the mount and the Teal Snapdragon Treat.
Snapdragon treats and colors
The mount has 8 colors. Each treat gives one color once; you can switch colors afterwards. If you need a treat again, Zexel Fingersnap sells replacements of treats you already earned for 5 Flame-Blessed Iron.

The Siren Isle invasions that drop three of these treats (naga, vrykul, pirates) are random events, so those colors take the longest.
Conclusion
Thrayir takes one storm, five keys and one vault. The slow parts are the two elites that are easiest with a group (Zek’ul the Shipbreaker and Ksvir the Forgotten) and the Torrential fragments, which drop at a low rate. The Prismatic Snapdragon needs no group but takes at least 10 days, and the rarest treats depend on random invasions.
