Intro
Hunters in World of Warcraft choose their pets based on two main criteria: appearance and available abilities. And with the sheer number of tameable creatures in WoW, it’s usually easy to find the perfect balance of both. When it comes to visuals, the game offers an incredible variety of beasts, including even some undead or mechanical ones—there’s truly something for every taste.
Among these, some pets stand out—either by being massive or unusually tiny. One of the smallest known hunter pets in WoW is the Marsh Gulper.

Where to Find the Marsh Gulper
Marsh Gulpers can be found near a couple of ponds in the southern part of Tanaan Jungle on Draenor. The easiest way to get there is by using the portal to Ashran from either Stormwind (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde).
At first glance, the Marsh Gulper looks fairly ordinary, but once tamed, it mysteriously shrinks in size. To make it even tinier, hunters can apply the Glyph of the Lesser Proportion, which is often available on the Auction House. With the glyph applied, the frog becomes nearly microscopic—a truly adorable (and tactical) companion.
Why Choose a Tiny Pet?
Using an unusually small pet in PvP can make it harder for your opponent to target your companion, potentially confusing them during hectic combat. In PvE, it can also reduce screen clutter and help with visual clarity, especially in raid or dungeon content where many effects are happening at once.
