Season 2 Mythic+ Tier List at a Glance
Rankings checked on 12 October 2026 for Midnight Season 2 (patch 12.1). Patch 12.1.5 on 13 October brings Mythic+ dungeon tuning, so expect small shifts.
Across Icy Veins, Method and wow.gg, the Season 2 picks that agree most are Blood Death Knight for tank, Holy Paladin for healer, and Elemental Shaman, Arcane Mage and Arms Warrior for damage. Everything below shows where each source places every spec, so you can see how firm each pick is.

Mythic+ Tank Tier List
Six tank specs, three sources. Blood Death Knight is the one spec all three agree on. Guardian Druid is second on Icy Veins and wow.gg and A on Method.

The wow.gg column is the average damage of the top 100 players by Mythic+ rating, so it shows damage, not survivability. Icy Veins’ tank list (24 September) is older than the 6 October hotfix that made Brewmaster tougher. After it, Quick Sip purifies 8% of current Stagger for every 3 seconds of Stagger duration gained, up from 5%, and the 10% dodge from Pretense of Instability lasts 8 seconds instead of 5. Blizzard’s note said Brewmaster death rates in dungeons were higher than intended. Method’s list (5 October) came out the day before the hotfix.
Icy Veins’ own text says the gap between Blood and Guardian is small and that Guardian was “one small buff away” from S tier in late August. For role details see our Midnight Best Tank guide.

Healers are the role where the sources disagree most, because Icy Veins and Method weigh utility and externals, while wow.gg measures average healing of the top 100 players.

- Holy Paladin is S on both tier lists, and Holy Paladin and Restoration Shaman reached the highest key of any healer in the wow.gg sample (+23).
- Holy Priest has the highest average healing (197K) but is B on both lists.
- Mistweaver Monk got a buff aimed at raids in the 6 October hotfixes: healing from Invigorating Mists and Enveloping Mist rose by 15%, and Enveloping Mist stays unchanged in PvP. Both healer lists above were published earlier, so neither includes it.

DPS has 27 specs, so the full three-source table lives in our Midnight DPS tier list. The short version, as of 5 to 10 October:

Specs that all three place low in Mythic+: Augmentation Evoker (C on both lists, last by damage), Fire Mage and Frost Mage.
Season 2 Dungeon Pool and Difficulty
The Season 2 pool has eight dungeons: five from Midnight, one from Dragonflight and two from Battle for Azeroth. Altar of Fangs is new in patch 12.1 and has three bosses (Rav’i, The Writhing Coil and Zul’jan).

The two columns disagree on Kings’ Rest. Icy Veins noted that its week 1 placement came from unfamiliarity with the dungeon, not from tuning, and expected it to ease as groups learned the trash. Method’s column is dated 5 October. Altar of Fangs is the only dungeon both place at the hard end.

What Changed Since the Pre-Expansion Version
The first version of this page, written on 23 February from beta testing before Midnight launched, ended with a verdict. Compared with October’s lists:

Season 1 started on 17 March. Season 2 followed patch 12.1 (11 August), with Mythic+ opening on 18 August.
Rewards and What Moves the Rankings Next
Blizzard’s 12.1.5 announcement says Keystone Myth returns with targeted dungeon tuning, and adds the achievement “Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2” for a Mythic+ rating of 3,600. Ascendant Venomstones, which raise a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth item, start dropping in the week of 20 October. The announcement lists no class changes, but tuning goes on weekly: the 6 October hotfixes changed Unholy, Devourer, Enhancement, Subtlety, Brewmaster and Mistweaver.
A pre-season summary from Ten Ton Hammer (16 August, with values still marked as being finalised on the PTR) reported dungeon portals for timing a +10 in each dungeon, both Fortified and Tyrannical from +10, and a rating ladder from 1,500 up to Keystone Master at 2,000, Keystone Hero at 2,500 and Keystone Legend at 3,000. Less than group quality. Method states that the best player usually beats a more “meta” spec, and that every spec can reach top Mythic+ titles.
