- Imperial Vizier Zor’lok
- Blade Lord Ta’yak
- Garalon
- Wind Lord Mel’jarak
- Amber-Shaper Un’sok
- Grand Empress Shek’zeer
Below are bite-sized strategy notes and role-specific tips for each boss so your team can move from pull to kill with fewer wipes.
Imperial Vizier Zor’lok
- Core: Platform dance with Attenuation rings, Force & Verve raid soak, and Convert MCs.
- Key wipe check: People failing rings or missed interrupts on MCs.
Healers: Rotate CDs for Force & Verve domes; pre-HoT the raid.
DPS: Stutter-step the rings, swap to MCs instantly, and kick.
Blade Lord Ta’yak
- Core: Overwhelming Assault tank swap, Unseen Strike group soak, wind-tunnel gauntlet at 20%.
- Key wipe check: Players not stacking for Strikes; deaths in the tunnel.
Healers: Save externals for tunnel collisions; top before Unseen Strike.
DPS: Stack tight for Strikes; use movement CDs in the tunnel, avoid tornados.
Garalon
- Core: Pheromones baton pass, Leg weak points for bonus damage, avoid Crush overlaps.
- Key wipe check: Late Pheromone swaps; standing under boss during Crush.
Healers: Expect spiky raid damage after Crush; assign a “runner” healer.
DPS: Melee cleave legs safely; ranged maintain uptime on boss and help with soaks.
Wind Lord Mel’jarak
- Core: Add waves with Amber Prison, Whirling Blade, careful crowd control, then burn boss.
- Key wipe check: Breaking Prisons fast; not cleaving CC’d targets.
Healers: Prep raid CDs for Blade overlaps; dispel Prison responsibly.
DPS: Focus interrupts; single-target CC’d adds—no accidental cleave.
Amber-Shaper Un’sok
- Core: Amber Monstrosity phase and Mutated Construct vehicle gameplay—use the right abilities to interrupt/lock boss.
- Key wipe check: Poor construct control; missed interrupts on Amber Explosion.
Healers: Spot-heal players learning vehicle controls; plan CDs for overlaps.
DPS: If transformed, follow the construct rotation (interrupt → build willpower → lock). Missed kicks wipe raids.
Grand Empress Shek’zeer
- Core: Multi-phase: add control with Dissonance Fields, Consuming Terror fears, then a high-damage final burn.
- Key wipe check: Mismanaging Fields and fears; slow add kills leading to overlaps.
Healers: Assign CDs for final phase; fear prevention/dispels on point.
DPS: Execute add priority; save big cooldowns for the last burn window.
Our Monkey Runs power leveling gets you raid-ready quickly, so you can jump straight into Heart of Fear boss kills and loot.
Imperial Vizier Zor’lok — Boss Guide
Phase One — Platform Rotation
- Right Platform: Uses Pheromones of Zeal to fill the room with damage. Stay on platforms to avoid lethal ticks. Interrupt Exhale to reduce pressure.
- Force and Verve: Stand under shields (max 7 players each) to survive the AoE pulses. At 80% HP, Zor’lok leaves an Echo and flies to the left platform.
- Left Platform: Gains Attenuation — dodge spinning yellow waves (green added on Heroic). At 60% HP, another Echo spawns before moving to the final platform.
- Final Platform: Adds Convert — MCs players until they are brought to 50% HP. Swap quickly to break control.
Phase Two — Central Burn
At 40% HP, Zor’lok moves to the center, removes pheromones, and uses both Force and Verve and Attenuation together, plus a constant Echo attack.
- Second tank should drag the Echo away while it’s healed through its damage.
- Use all DPS cooldowns here to end the fight before overlapping mechanics stack up.
Tanks — control boss and Echo positioning;
Healers — prep raid CDs for Force & Verve overlaps;
DPS — prioritize interrupts and MC breaks.
Blade Lord Ta’yak — Boss Guide
Phase One — Control and Positioning
- Tanking: Keep Ta’yak in the center. Tanks swap on every Overwhelming Assault to manage stacks.
- Movement Hazards: Dodge tornadoes from Tempest Slash — they knock back and deal heavy damage.
- Stack Mechanic: During Unseen Strike, collapse on the marked player to split the hit evenly.
- Debuff Management: Players with Wind Step take ticking physical damage — healers should focus them or they should use defensives.
- Avoid Blade Tempest: Run directly away from the boss when he channels Blade Tempest to avoid being pulled in.
Phase Two — Tornado Gauntlet
At 20% HP, Ta’yak moves to one side of the room and pushes players to the far wall. You must run toward him while avoiding tornadoes moving in three separate lanes.
- Getting hit by a tornado sends you back to the start — stay calm and look ahead for openings.
- Speed boosts like Stampeding Roar, Wind Rush Totem, or Blink greatly help during this phase.
- Survivability cooldowns can save you if you clip a tornado and need to recover quickly.
Tanks — stay mobile and swap cleanly;
Healers — pre-HoT Wind Step targets;
DPS — manage personal defensives for Phase 2 runs.
Garalon — Boss Guide
Phase One — Pheromones Rotation
- Fixate Mechanic: At the pull, Garalon fixates on the closest player, applying Pheromones.
- Passing the Debuff: Pass Pheromones to another player by running into them. Swap around 20 stacks of Pungency to control ramping damage.
- Kiting: The carrier should kite Garalon along the arena’s edge to keep Pheromone Trail away from the group.
- Crush Timers:
- Normal — casts Crush when Pheromones are passed.
- Heroic — casts Crush every 35 seconds regardless of swaps.
- Leg Damage: Focus Garalon’s four legs to trigger the Weak Points buff, granting bonus damage and slowing him.
Phase Two — Tank & Burn
At 33% HP, Garalon stops fixating and engages tanks directly.
- Tanking: Both tanks should stack in front to share Furious Swipe.
- Leg Finish: Coordinate DPS to destroy all weakened legs at the same time for maximum burst damage.
- Healer Awareness: Prepare big raid cooldowns when Pheromones stacks are high or overlap with Crush.
Tanks — position together in front for Phase 2;
Healers — rotate raid cooldowns during high stacks;
DPS — maximize uptime on legs and exploit Weak Points.
Wind Lord Mel’jarak — Boss Guide
Phase One — Add Control
The fight starts with Mel’jarak accompanied by nine adds split into three types:
- Priests — Heal allies and grant an attack speed buff.
- Warriors — Deal heavy raid-wide damage through charges and melee strikes.
- Hunters — Place traps and apply dangerous debuffs.
You can crowd control (CC) up to four adds at the start. Once all mobs of a single type are dead, the CC slots drop from four to two. When only one type remains, you can no longer CC them.
After setting CC, pull the boss with the remaining five adds and cleave them down. Priests are the top kill priority to reduce tank damage. Evenly cleaving all active adds can also optimize DPS output.
Hunters’ traps can imprison players. Click on a trapped ally to free them — but note that doing so applies a 2-minute debuff preventing you from freeing others during that time.
Phase Two — Boss Burn
After all adds are dead, Phase Two begins. Move Mel’jarak to the center of the room and spread ranged DPS evenly around him.
- In this phase, he deals 150% increased melee damage, putting heavy strain on tanks.
- At 75% HP, he starts throwing Wind Bomb. Avoid these at all costs — triggering one will almost certainly wipe the raid.
Tanks — be ready for high melee damage in Phase 2;
Healers — save cooldowns for bomb overlaps;
DPS — focus kill order in P1, stay mobile in P2.
Amber-Shaper Un’sok — Boss Guide
Reshape Life mechanic.
This ability transforms a player into a Mutated Construct
with special abilities and a constantly draining willpower bar. If willpower hits zero, the player dies, and the construct becomes hostile to the raid.
Phase One — Solo Boss Mechanics
In Phase One, Un’sok fights alone and uses three main abilities:
- Amber Scalpel — Fires a damaging beam, leaving trails that spawn Living Amber. These globules fixate on players and explode on death, healing nearby globules.
- Parasitic Growth — Applies a DoT that increases damage taken the more healing the target receives.
- Reshape Life — In this phase, only targets tanks. Reduce the mutated tank to 20% HP quickly to help them break free.
The goal in P1 is to push Un’sok to 70% HP while controlling adds and managing mutations.
Phase Two — Amber Monstrosity
At 70% HP, Un’sok becomes immune and summons the
Amber Monstrosity.
He continues using P1 abilities, but Reshape Life can now target any player.
Amber Strike to interrupt
Amber Explosion.
Phase Three — Burn Phase
Once the Amber Monstrosity dies, Un’sok drops Amber Scalpel but gains increased damage and attack speed.
Living Amber pools now damage players and heal constructs.
- Breaking free from mutation is no longer possible.
- Mutated players must maintain willpower using Consume Amber and keep stacking Amber Strike.
Quick Recap
- P1: Manage Living Amber, free mutated tanks, push boss to 70%.
- P2: Kill Amber Monstrosity, interrupt Amber Explosion, handle random mutations.
- P3: Burn boss, control pools, mutated players maintain willpower.
Grand Empress Shek’zeer – Heart of Fear Raid Guide
Phase 1 – Controlling the Dissonance Fields
In this phase, Shek’zeer’s key ability is
Dissonance Field, which summons two vortexes that block all healing.
When a vortex timer expires, it explodes, dealing heavy raid-wide damage.
- Players affected by
Cry of Terror
should stand inside a vortex to delay simultaneous explosions. - Be aware: standing inside a vortex suppresses incoming heals.
- Tanks will receive
Eyes of the Empress stacks – swap tanks at 5 stacks to avoid overwhelming damage.
Phase 2 – Add Control & Resin Traps
At 0 energy (around 150 seconds), Shek’zeer retreats and the room fills with dangerous adds:
- Each side spawns 1x Kor’thik Reaver (frontal cleave) + 3x Set’thik Windblade (Whirlwind + fixate on players).
- Tanks must split the two groups, as keeping them close grants a 30% damage buff.
- Priority: kill one Windblade quickly on each side to relieve tank pressure.
During this stage, Sticky Resin puddles will appear:
- Two players with the debuff meet to combine resin into a larger puddle.
- Add more resin until it becomes a trap.
- Lure a Kor’thik Reaver into the trap – this immobilizes it.
- Kill any remaining Windblades after the trap is secure.
Phase 3 – Final Burn
At 30% health, Shek’zeer returns. Before pushing her below 30%, ensure all active Dissonance Fields have exploded to avoid chaotic overlaps.
- Stack behind the boss to simplify healing through Consuming Terror and other AoEs.
- Visions of Demise
targets 2 players – they must move out before being dispelled after 4 seconds. - Avoid the frontal cone from Consuming Terror – it deals high damage and fears.
- Be ready for Calamity, which drops the whole raid to low HP instantly. Healers should prepare cooldowns in advance.
Rewards & Next Steps
Defeating Grand Empress Shek’zeer clears the Heart of Fear. With the right preparation, add assignments, and phase transitions, your raid will secure the kill and loot powerful Tier 14 gear.
FAQ
Imperial Vizier Zor’lok
Q: What’s the hardest part of the Zor’lok fight?
A: Mastering the three platform abilities (Force & Verve, Convert, Attenuation) and surviving the transition to the center platform. Positioning and avoiding Attenuation discs is key.
Q: How can we survive Force & Verve?
A: Stack inside Protective Bubbles to reduce damage. Healers should pre-cast AoE heals right before the ability starts.
Blade Lord Ta’yak
Q: What’s the biggest DPS check in this fight?
A: The wind tunnel phase (Phase 2). You must move quickly between tornados while keeping DPS on the boss to finish him before the soft enrage.
Q: How should tanks handle Overwhelming Assault?
A: Swap tanks at two stacks to prevent lethal physical damage. Cooldowns are essential for each swap.
Garalon
Q: How do we break Garalon’s legs efficiently?
A: Assign melee DPS to focus on one leg at a time. Destroying legs slows Garalon and deals extra damage to his body.
Q: What’s the best way to manage Pheromone?
A: Rotate the debuff between designated players. Move out before the damage becomes unhealable.
Wind Lord Mel’jarak
Q: How should we CC the adds?
A: Use stuns, disarms, and slows to keep control. Break CC only when it’s time to burn a specific add group.
Q: Which adds should we kill first?
A: Prioritize Windblade adds for their high melee damage and Whirlwind ability. Kor’thik Reavers are handled second.
Amber-Shaper Un’sok
Q: What’s the key mechanic here?
A: Managing the Amber Monstrosity transformation. Players must interrupt Fling, cast Amber Strike at the right time, and avoid Overload.
Q: How can we avoid wiping to Amber Explosion?
A: Always interrupt Amber Explosion – missing even one can wipe the raid. Assign backup interrupters in case the primary is stunned.
Grand Empress Shek’zeer
Q: How do we handle Dissonance Fields?
A: Alternate their explosions to avoid double raid-wide damage. Players with Cry of Terror should enter a vortex to desync timers.
Q: What’s the trick to Phase 2 add control?
A: Assign resin runners before the pull. Trap Kor’thik Reavers early while DPS focuses on Windblades.
Q: What’s the most dangerous mechanic in Phase 3?
A: Visions of Demise – affected players must run out immediately to avoid fearing the group. Dispelling too early can wipe the raid.
