Key Takeaways
This checklist covers everything AION 2 lets you do on a daily and weekly basis, so you squeeze the most progression out of every reset and never leave a reward on the table. Treat it as a routine to walk through each time you log in, and as a planning sheet for the last days before the weekly reset.
- Every day: finish your 5 Duty Quests as soon as you log in.
- Every week: clear all weekly activities before the weekly reset arrives.
- Unlock early: Odyle Energy opens at Level 22 and Nightmare at Level 45, so reach both levels as soon as you can.
- Never sit at cap: do not let Odyle Energy, Shugo Festival keys or Nightmare tickets fill up, because a full pool means wasted regeneration.
- Timing matters: keep performance-based content such as Ascension Trial and Daily Dungeon for later in the week, when your character is stronger.
- Alts pay off: some limits are tracked per character and some are server-wide, so know which is which before you roll another character.
Note: Many of the numbers below, including the Wednesday weekly reset, are based on the Korean and Taiwan versions of the game. Global may follow the same schedule, but values can shift with patches, so confirm anything important in-game.
Why bother with a checklist at all? Because AION 2 is built around limits, and the people who progress fastest are simply the ones who touch every limit before it expires. The rest of this guide walks through those limits one by one, from the daily routine to the weekly reset and a day-by-day plan for your first week.
AION 2 Daily Checklist
Why would you want to burden yourself with a daily checklist? Because, like most Korean MMORPGs, AION 2 has several systems that act as anchors on your progression. They stop you from grinding the same content endlessly, or they give you diminishing returns, or none at all, once you pass a limit. A checklist makes sure you use every energy system and every activity cooldown to the fullest, so you collect the maximum possible rewards in a day or a week.
Before any list, one more thing is worth saying: alt characters. Not every cooldown or resource is shared between characters, so you can and should do some checklist items on your main and again on every alt you have created. Each alt that does its own set of tasks gives you extra rewards on top of what your main earns. Throughout this guide I mark what only works on your main and what can be repeated on alts.
Funnily enough, AION 2 does not have a huge list of true daily activities. The main one is Duty Quests, while several other systems simply regenerate resources every day, which we will cover in a later section.
Duty Quests
You can complete 5 Duty Quests per day. They are shared across the server, so there is no need to repeat them on alts.
The objectives are usually very simple. Most of them send you into the open world to kill a few enemies or a nearby boss, so each one takes only a few minutes.
Every Duty Quest gives a guaranteed reward plus several random reward options. When you pick, these are the most useful things to look for:
- Crystals of any type
- Hidden Cube Keys
- Unique or gold-rarity items and materials
Duty Quests reset daily, which makes them one of the first things you should finish after logging in, once they are unlocked. Skipping a day means losing that day’s five quests for good, because nothing stacks up for later.
Your Daily Routine at a Glance
Since the daily list is so short, here is the whole routine in one place. Everything below either resets or regenerates every day, and the detailed rules for the resources follow later in this guide.
| Item | Daily amount | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Duty Quests | 5 per day | Finish all five, once per server. |
| Odyle Energy | 120 per day | Spend it on dungeon rewards before it caps at 840. |
| Shugo Festival keys | 2 per day | Use them so the pool never sits at 14. |
| Nightmare tickets | 2 per day | Use them so the pool never sits at 14. |
Tip: Make Duty Quests the first thing you do after login. They take only minutes, and doing them first means the day’s guaranteed reward is already banked before you get distracted by anything else.
AION 2 Weekly Checklist
Weekly activities are a little more involved, and this is also where alt characters start to matter more. Some limits are shared, while others are tracked separately for every character. That means certain weeklies can be repeated on each alt for additional rewards, while others can only be done once no matter how many characters you own.
| Activity | Weekly limit | Alts get extra attempts? |
|---|---|---|
| Ascension Trial | 3 runs per character | Yes |
| Daily Dungeon | 14 entries | No |
| Battlefield | 3 victory rewards per character | Yes |
Ascension Trial
You can complete 3 Ascension Trial runs per week on every character, which means each alt gives you another 3 runs. It is a solo dungeon: you clear several rooms of enemies and then fight a boss at the end, and higher difficulties give better rewards.
The AION 2 dungeons guide covers every dungeon type and its rewards.
I would not rush all three attempts right after the weekly reset. Waiting until later in the week gives you more time to improve your character and potentially clear a higher difficulty. The only rule is that all three attempts must be used before the next reset, because unused runs do not carry over.
Daily Dungeon
Despite the name, Daily Dungeon is managed as a weekly activity. You get 14 entries per week, and each run gives you 1 minute and 30 seconds to kill as many enemies as possible. Your final score determines the rewards.
Your alts do not give you another set of entries here, so this is something you only need to manage on your main. Since the rewards depend on performance, it also makes sense to save these runs until later in the week, when your character is stronger and can kill more in the same 1 minute and 30 seconds.
If your week is too busy to fit all 14 runs in, you can hand the grind over: the AION 2 daily dungeons boost is there for exactly that situation, so the entries do not go to waste.
Battlefield
Battlefield is AION 2’s balanced PvP mode. You can earn 3 victory rewards per week on every character, so every alt gives you another set of 3 rewards.
Unlike Ascension Trial and Daily Dungeon, there is less reason to deliberately save Battlefield until the end of the week. You can work toward those wins whenever it fits your schedule, which makes it a good filler activity between other tasks.
Warning: Weekly attempts that you do not use are gone at the reset. Before you log off on the last day of your cycle, re-check that all 3 Ascension Trial runs, your Daily Dungeon entries and your Battlefield victories are done.
Daily-Recharging Resources
Not everything you need to track in AION 2 resets at a fixed daily or weekly time. Some resources regenerate automatically instead, so the main goal is to unlock them early and avoid sitting at the cap for too long. A resource that is already full simply stops gaining, and everything it would have produced in that time is lost.
| Resource | Unlock | Regeneration | Cap | Extra pool on alts? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Odyle Energy | Level 22 | 120 per day | 840 | Yes |
| Shugo Festival keys | Level 13 | 2 per day | 14 | No |
| Nightmare tickets | Level 45 | 2 per day | 14 | Yes |
Every cap in this table equals exactly seven days of regeneration. In practice that means you can take a break of up to a week without wasting anything, but the moment you go past it, you start losing resources.
Odyle Energy
Odyle Energy is used to claim dungeon rewards after you kill the final boss. Opening one reward cube costs 40 Odyle Energy, while claiming both rewards with a subscription costs 80.
You unlock the system at Level 22, when the game sends you to Crow Cave. From that point on you regenerate 15 Odyle every 3 hours, which comes out to 120 per day, and you can store up to 840.
This resource is tracked separately for every character. Each alt has its own Odyle Energy pool and its own regeneration, so getting alts to Level 22 early gives you access to more total dungeon reward claims over the course of the week.
Shugo Festival Keys
Shugo Festival unlocks at Level 13. You get 2 keys per day and can hold up to 14 at once.
The important difference here is that Shugo Festival keys are shared across your characters. Alts do not create extra keys, so there is no benefit in doing the event on multiple characters just to get more entries.
You also do not need to spend these keys every single day. The main thing is to avoid staying at the 14-key cap, because that means you stop gaining new ones.
Nightmare Tickets
Nightmare unlocks at Level 45 and uses tickets instead of Energy. You get 2 tickets per day and can store up to 14.
Unlike Shugo Festival keys, Nightmare tickets are tracked separately for every character. Each alt that reaches Level 45 starts building its own ticket pool, which gives you extra Nightmare attempts over time.
There is also no need to burn these tickets immediately. Letting them build while your character gets stronger can be useful, as long as you avoid sitting at the cap.
Weekly Crafts & Shops
AION 2 also has several weekly-limited crafts and shop purchases that are easy to forget, because they are not tied to a dungeon or a playlist. Most of them exist to give you more entries, more Odyle Energy or extra progression materials, so they are worth checking before the weekly reset.
| Weekly task | Main | Extra on alts? |
|---|---|---|
| Substance Morph Odyle crafts | 20 | Yes, 4 per alt |
| Subscriber Shop Odyle | 20 | Yes, 4 per alt |
| Daily Dungeon tickets | 21 | No |
| Soul Crystals | Weekly purchase | No |
| PvE Weekly Quests | 12 | No |
| PvP Weekly Quests | 20 | No |
Substance Morph Odyle Crafts
Substance Morph lets you craft extra Odyle Energy every week, which translates directly into more dungeon reward claims. On your main you can craft 20 Odyle Energy items in total, while each alt gets another 4 character-specific crafts.
This is one of the clearest examples of why alts matter for weekly progression: every additional character gives you another small batch of Odyle, and it adds up quickly if you run several of them.
Subscriber Shop
If you have a subscription, the Wind Breeze Merchant offers several weekly purchases that are worth checking. The most important ones are extra Odyle Energy, 21 additional Daily Dungeon tickets, and Soul Crystals, which are used for Genus progression.
The Odyle purchases follow the same structure as Substance Morph, with 20 available on your main and another 4 on each alt. The other weekly purchases, meaning the Daily Dungeon tickets and the Soul Crystals, are handled on your main only.
PvE and PvP Weekly Quests
The Command Merchants also sell weekly quest scrolls that you can buy and save for later. You can purchase up to 12 PvE quests per server from the Command Merchant in the main city, and up to 20 PvP quests per server from the Abyss merchant.
These limits are shared across the server, so alts do not give you another batch. You also do not have to complete the quests the moment you get them, which makes buying them before the reset more important than rushing to finish them.
Abyss Events
Abyss events are another part of the weekly routine, but unlike the activities above, they depend on a fixed event schedule and on how your faction performs. The main one is Artifact Siege, which takes place on Wednesday and Saturday according to the data this checklist is based on. Winning an artifact gives your faction access to an Abyss Corridor, so the number of Corridors you can run depends on how many artifacts your side controls.
Artifact Siege
During Artifact Siege, both factions fight over three artifacts in the Abyss. Each artifact your faction wins unlocks one Abyss Corridor until the next siege, so if your side wins two artifacts, you get access to two Corridors.
For checklist purposes, the important part is simply knowing when the siege happens and whether your faction unlocked any Corridors afterward. You do not have to plan your whole week around it, but you do want to look at the result each time.
Abyss Corridors
Abyss Corridors are short timed instances where you have 2 minutes to kill as many enemies as possible. The main rewards are Kinah and Abyss Points, and you can run the available Corridors on both your main and your alts.
Need more currency? The AION 2 Kinah farming guide lists the best methods.
That means alts do give you extra value here, because each character can complete the unlocked Corridors separately before the next Artifact Siege. If you would rather not spend your evenings on Abyss content, the Abyss Points farm is a simple way to cover that side of the game without the grind.
Optional Activities
Not everything in AION 2 needs to be treated as mandatory progression. World Bosses and Supply Requests can both be useful, but whether they are worth your time depends on what is available, what materials you already have and how much time you want to spend on them.
World Bosses
You can check upcoming World Boss spawns from the map and join them whenever one happens to be convenient. There are PvE bosses in the open world and additional bosses in the Abyss, and taking part gives you a chance at extra loot.
I would not build my entire schedule around the regular PvE bosses, though. If one is spawning while you are already online, it makes sense to join, but there is no need to treat every spawn as mandatory.
Supply Requests
Supply Requests ask you to turn in specific gear pieces, gathering materials or other resources in exchange for Abyss Points and additional rewards. They are split into daily Emergency Requests, weekly requests and seasonal requests, and every player receives the same requirements.
That last detail can make certain requested materials much more expensive on the market, especially around weekly resets, because everyone wants the same items at the same time. Because of that, I would check the requests regularly but only complete the ones that make sense financially. Sometimes selling the requested materials for Kinah is more valuable than turning them in yourself, and if you ever need a Kinah top-up to buy what a request asks for, there is the Kinah section of the store.
Best AION 2 Week 1 Plan
Before planning the first week, it is important to understand how the weekly reset will most likely work. Based on Korea and Taiwan, AION 2 should reset weekly activities on Wednesday. If Global follows the same schedule, Founder’s Pack players starting on September 30 get a full seven-day cycle before the first reset, while players starting on October 5 only get two days.
The weekly reset should refresh Ascension Trial attempts, Daily Dungeon entries, Battlefield victory rewards, weekly Substance Morph crafts, weekly shop limits and weekly PvE and PvP quest purchases. Duty Quests reset daily instead. Odyle Energy, Shugo Festival keys and Nightmare tickets do not reset weekly at all; they regenerate over time and only become a problem if you let them sit at the cap.
| Reset type | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Daily | Duty Quests |
| Weekly | Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, Battlefield rewards, Substance Morph crafts, shop limits, PvE and PvP quest purchases |
| Regenerates over time | Odyle Energy, Shugo Festival keys, Nightmare tickets |
The practical consequence is that your first week has two very different layers. One layer is the time-gated resources, which you want to start as early as possible, and the other is the weekly content, which you want to clear before the reset without wasting attempts on a character that is still weak. The two plans below show how that works depending on when you start.
If you want a head start on your gear for that push, services like the expeditions boost can take some of the grind off your plate while you take care of the checklist.
Founder’s Pack Owners: September 30 Start
If you start on September 30 with the Founder’s Pack, you get a full seven-day cycle before the first weekly reset. That gives you room to unlock everything, grow your character and only then spend the limited weekly attempts. Here is the whole week in one table.
| When | Main priorities |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Get planned characters to Level 22, push main to Level 45, complete 5 Duty Quests |
| Days 2–6 | Daily Duty Quests, level alts, finish side progression, push main toward 1,400 item level |
| Along the way | Battlefield wins, Shugo Festival, Abyss Corridors, side content on alts |
| Before reset | Spend capped Odyle, do Nightmare, Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, weekly crafts, shop purchases |
Day 1
The main goal of the first day is to unlock the systems that start generating resources over time. Get every character you plan to use to Level 22, so that Odyle Energy starts regenerating on each of them. Then push your main to Level 45 to unlock Nightmare and Duty Quests. Finish the day by completing your first 5 Duty Quests.
The reason this order works is simple: every hour a system stays locked is an hour of regeneration you never get back. Unlocking first and optimizing later costs you nothing, while the opposite order wastes resources.
Days 2–6
From here, keep doing your 5 Duty Quests every day and focus on progression. Level your planned alts, finish leftover story and side content, clear Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds, collect feathers, and raise your main toward 1,400 item level. You can also fit in Battlefield wins, Shugo Festival runs and Abyss Corridors whenever it is convenient.
Collecting Feathers? The AION 2 Empyrean Traces guide covers the rewards and the best way to collect them.
If gear is your bottleneck during these days, you can speed things up with the Empyrean Traces farm and let someone else handle that repetitive part while you work through your checklist.
Before the Weekly Reset
This is when you cash out everything you intentionally delayed. Complete Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, Nightmare, weekly crafts and weekly shop purchases, and make sure Odyle Energy is not sitting at the cap.
These activities benefit from being done late because your character should be much stronger by then, which gives you a higher chance at a harder Ascension Trial difficulty and a better Daily Dungeon score.
Free-to-Play Players: October 5 Start
If you start on October 5, the timing is very different. By the numbers above, you only get two days before the first weekly reset, so there is very little room to wait. The plan below keeps the same unlock-first logic, then moves straight into the activities that would otherwise disappear.
| When | Main priorities |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Get planned characters to Level 22, push main to Level 45, complete 5 Duty Quests |
| Day 2, priority 1 | Ascension Trial, Daily Dungeon, Odyle crafts, Subscriber Shop |
| Day 2, priority 2 | 5 Duty Quests, buy PvE and PvP weeklies, level alts |
| Day 2, priority 3 | Battlefield, side progression, item-level gains |
Day 1
The unlock priorities stay exactly the same: Level 22 on every planned character, Level 45 on your main, and then your 5 Duty Quests. The difference is that you have almost no time to delay weekly content, so you cannot treat the end of the week as a place to park things.
Day 2
Your first priority is to clear anything that would reset and disappear, especially Ascension Trial and Daily Dungeon. After that, do the weekly Odyle crafts and shop purchases if you can afford them, then buy the PvE and PvP weekly quests, because those can be stored for later.
Battlefield and side progression come after that. Do not worry about squeezing everything in perfectly on the first reset; the following weeks will give you a normal seven-day cycle, and you can switch to the relaxed schedule from the earlier sections: daily quests, resources kept below the cap, and performance-based content saved for the end of the week.
Note: Because the first cycle is so short, accept that you will not clear every single weekly activity at full strength. Prioritize what disappears at the reset over what you can still do later.
Check the AION 2 redeem codes guide for how to claim free rewards.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do every day in AION 2?
The only true daily activity on this checklist is Duty Quests, with 5 available per day. You should also keep an eye on Odyle Energy, Shugo Festival keys and Nightmare tickets, so none of them sit at the cap and waste regeneration.
What should I do every week in AION 2?
The main weekly tasks are:
- 3 Ascension Trial runs
- 14 Daily Dungeon entries
- 3 Battlefield victory rewards
- Weekly Odyle crafts
- Subscriber Shop purchases
- PvE and PvP weekly quests
- Abyss Corridors when they are available
Some of these are server-wide, while others can be repeated on alts for extra rewards.
Should I do Ascension Trial and Daily Dungeon right after the reset?
Usually not. Ascension Trial has multiple difficulties, so waiting until later in the week gives you more time to improve your character and possibly clear a harder version for better rewards. Daily Dungeon pays out based on how many enemies you kill during the timer, so a stronger character earns a better score, and since the 14 entries are handled weekly, there is no reason to rush them. Just make sure all attempts are used before the reset.
Do I need alts in AION 2?
You do not strictly need alts, but they give you extra value from systems with per-character limits. The main examples are Ascension Trial, Battlefield rewards, Odyle Energy and Nightmare tickets. Each alt gives you another set of attempts or another independent resource pool.
Duty Quests, Daily Dungeon entries, Shugo Festival keys, PvE weekly quests and PvP weekly quests are shared or limited at the server level, so a new character does not give you a fresh set of those.
When should I spend Odyle Energy?
Save Odyle Energy if you are close to unlocking a better dungeon, but do not let it sit at the 840 cap. The goal is to spend it on worthwhile dungeon rewards while keeping regeneration active.
What should I prioritize during the first week?
The basic order is:
- Get your planned characters to Level 22.
- Push your main to Level 45.
- Complete 5 Duty Quests every day.
- Build item level and finish important side progression.
- Clear every weekly activity before the reset.
The goal is to unlock the time-gated systems early, then use the rest of the week to make your character stronger before you spend limited attempts.
When does the AION 2 weekly reset happen?
Based on the Korea and Taiwan versions, the weekly reset is expected on Wednesday. If Global follows the same schedule, Founder’s Pack players who start on September 30 get a full first week, while October 5 players only get two days before the first reset.
