Crota's End comes from Year 1 of the original Destiny. Bungie rebuilt it for Destiny 2 and released it on 1 September 2023, during Season of the Witch. The action takes place in the Hellmouth on the Moon, and any player can enter. Up to six Guardians fight through four encounters: the Abyss, the Bridge, Ir Yût the Deathsinger and Crota, Son of Oryx.

Loot
- Exotic: Necrochasm, an auto rifle. Its catalyst asks you to collect Essence of the Oversoul in the raid and complete the related triumphs, which is why the Essence has a farm lot of its own in Exotic Items. The raid also holds the War's Lament ship and the Crota's Exile sparrow.
- Weapons: Word of Crota (hand cannon), Oversoul Edict (pulse rifle), Swordbreaker (shotgun), Song of Ir Yût (machine gun), Fang of Ir Yût (scout rifle) and Abyss Defiant (auto rifle). Each has an Adept edition.
- Armor and title: a raid armor set and the Swordbearer seal.
Lot types in this section
Weapons make up the largest group. The Farm lots target one of the six legendary guns, the Adept lots sell random rolls or rolls with one or two perks picked from a fixed list, and six Crafting Pattern Unlock lots, one per gun, work toward the recipe instead of a single roll. Beside them stand the clears: a normal Crota's End run, a Master run with encounter challenges, a Flawless run, a Crota Kill lot for the final boss alone and a Crota + Ir Yût Kill lot for both bosses. Necrochasm is sold as the exotic, as the catalyst and as the masterwork, and one bundle joins a Master clear with six Adept weapons.
Choices on the main lot
The Crota's End lot offers a full completion, a Crota-kill run, Master Crota's End and a Flawless completion. Challenge options are Conservation of Energy, Precarious Balance, Equal Vessels and All For One. You can name one of the six guns for a Deepsight roll, add the weekly Deepsight chest and unlock the secret chests. Up to 15 runs fit into one order.
Requirements
Nothing has to be bought: Bungie lists Crota's End among the raids open to all players. A Master clear and the Adept farms presume a character that can survive Master, and each lot shows its own extra conditions.
FAQ
Is this the same raid as in Destiny 1?
It was rebuilt for Destiny 2, so the encounters, loot and Power rules are those of Destiny 2.
Which exotic does the raid give?
Necrochasm. Its catalyst is a second step, hence the separate Necrochasm Catalyst and Masterwork lots.
What does Adept mean here?
Adept is the label on the alternate edition of each raid weapon. The lots mark it in the title, and the bundle with a Master clear sells six of them.
How many encounters does the raid have?
Four, ending with Crota.
