Gear Boost brings a Midnight Season 2 character up in gear along one of two paths, chosen first under Choose Gear Type: PvP Gear, which is the default, or PvE Gear. PvP Gear offers Honor Gear, Conquest Gear or the BiS PVP Combat Kit, with an optional Full Sockets extra. PvE Gear offers seven item level targets from 276 to 320. Both paths can be played Piloted or as Self-play Remote.

PvP Gear options

Honor Gear (331 ilvl): the Venomous Aspirant set, which the game sells for Honor.
Conquest Gear (344 ilvl): the Venomous Gladiator set, which the game sells for Conquest through the quartermaster Irissa Bloodstar.
BiS PVP Combat Kit: the third PvP choice, listed after Conquest Gear.
Full Sockets: a checkbox that appears only with PvP Gear and fills the sockets on the gear with gems.

PvE item level targets

The PvE choices are 276, 292, 300, 305, 310, 315 and 320 ilvl. For reference, this is what Season 2 content drops:

Dungeons: Heroic drops 276 and Mythic 0 drops 292.
Mythic+: keystones +2 to +10 drop 295 to 311 at the end of the run, and the Great Vault offers 305 (+2) up to 318 (+10).
Raids: Raid Finder 279 to 289, Normal 292 to 302, Heroic 305 to 315, Mythic from 318.
Myth track: runs from 318 to 334, so the top target of 320 sits at its lower end.

Self-play Remote

Under Completion Method, Self-play Remote means the game runs on your own PC while the booster controls it remotely.

Requirements

A level 90 Retail character, the Midnight level cap.
For Self-play Remote, a PC with the game installed that stays on while the order runs.

Gear Boost FAQ

What separates the 276 and 292 targets?

276 is the item level of a Heroic dungeon drop, Adventurer 4/6. 292 is where Champion gear starts, the level of a Mythic 0 drop and of the first normal raid bosses.

Is 320 the top of Season 2 gear?

No. It is the highest PvE target on this page, while the Myth track continues up to 334.
