Rage Starved in WoW: What It Means and How to Avoid It
Rage Starved
Definition & Purpose
- Warrior & Druid Resource: Warriors in Defensive/Battle Stance and Druids in Bear Form generate rage primarily by dealing and receiving damage. If they’re not actively fighting or getting hit, they’re “rage starved.”
- Impact: Without sufficient rage, they can’t use crucial abilities like Shield Slam or Maul (Bear).
How to Avoid Rage Starvation
- Consistent Engagement: Pulling mobs continuously or letting the tank take steady hits keeps rage flowing.
- Gear & Stats: Some talents or gear choices accelerate rage gain; more damage dealt = more rage generated.
- Plan Out Abilities: Avoid using rage on low‐priority skills if you need it for key threat or defensive moves.
