Orange Supply Crate in Call of Duty: What Does It Mean?
In the loot hierarchy of Call of Duty: Warzone, the Orange Supply Crate (officially known as the Legendary Supply Box) is the highest tier of standard loot container.
While blue crates give you the bare minimum to survive, Orange Crates give you the tools to win. Here is the detailed breakdown of what is inside and the hidden mechanics that spawn them.
What is an Orange Crate?
- Visuals: It is a rectangular supply box that hums with a distinct Gold/Orange glow and emits a "shimmering" sound loop that is louder than standard crates.
- The Guarantee: Unlike standard boxes which rely on RNG (Random Number Generation), Orange Crates have a significantly higher "floor" for loot quality. You will never find a common (white) or uncommon (green) weapon inside.
The Loot Table (What's Inside)
Opening an Orange Crate typically guarantees a combination of the following:
- Legendary Weapons: These are "Orange Rarity" blueprints. They come pre-equipped with 5 Attachments.
- Advantage: These builds are often "Pro-tuned" or at least usable competitively, unlike the iron-sight ground loot found in blue boxes.
- Utility & Survival Items:
- Durable Gas Mask: The gold mask that lasts significantly longer in the gas.
- Self-Revive Kits: A critical item for solo and squad survival.
- Killstreaks: High probability of dropping UAVs, Mortar Strikes, or Precision Airstrikes.
- Perk Packages: Occasionally drops a Specialist Bonus (rare) or standard Perk Packages.
- Large Cash Stacks: They drop significantly more cash than blue crates, often enough to buy a Loadout Drop Marker immediately if your team finds 2-3 of them.
The "Resupply" Mechanic
The most important strategic timer in Warzone is the Resupply Public Event.
- When: This usually occurs during the 3rd Circle.
- What Happens: All supply crates that have been opened are closed and refilled.
- The Trick: Many of these refilled crates often upgrade to Legendary (Orange) status. If you are holding a building in the late game, check the crates you already opened—they might be fresh Orange crates now.
