FOV in Marvel Rivals: Is There a Slider?
No official source confirms an FOV slider in Marvel Rivals. NetEase has never published an FOV range or default, and most guides and forum threads say the field of view is fixed on PC and console. One official patch note mentions "Field of View" changes on console, so the engine does vary FOV in some situations, but that is not the same as a setting you can adjust. Check the Settings menu in your build before relying on either claim; this page was checked on 12 October 2026.

What FOV means here
Field of view is how wide an angle of the game world the camera shows. A wider FOV shows more at the edges and makes motion look faster; a narrow one magnifies the centre. It is measured in degrees, and PC shooters often let you set it. For the general idea, see our glossary on graphics settings.
What the evidence says
- Guides and forums. A 2024 Steam thread asked why the game feels stuck at 60 FOV; commenters disagreed on the true value and one quoted a tool reading 90. A guide dating from 2025 says the game "enforces" a fixed FOV across platforms.
- PCGamingWiki lists FOV as a feature with a default of 90 degrees and cites the January 2025 patch notes. That patch note only has the console fix above, so the listing is not proof of a slider.
- Sites that say a slider exists do not cite a patch note and contradict the other sources.
What you can adjust to see better
- Crosshair and reticle. The crosshair has its own settings. The "Center Gap" parameter some guides mention only changes the crosshair, not the picture.
- Sensitivity. Tune hip-fire and aim sensitivity separately; see the controls and input glossary.
- Resolution and display mode. A different aspect ratio can change what is on screen in some games; whether it widens the view here is not documented, so test it yourself.
- Enemy outline colour for visibility; see colorblind settings.
How to check your own build
- Open Settings and look at the Graphics or Display tab, then the Combat or Controls tab, for anything labelled Field of View or FOV.
- If you find a slider, note the range and the default and tell us; NetEase has not published them.
- If you do not find one, assume the field of view is fixed for your build.
Zoom and scope effects are different from FOV. Some heroes narrow the view while aiming, which may explain the official wording about FOV and crosshair sensitivity that players read as a menu setting.
FAQ
Is there an FOV slider on console?
Not confirmed. The only official mention is a console bug fix, which suggests the camera changes FOV during some actions rather than a menu option.
Should I download an FOV mod?
No. Marvel Rivals uses anti-cheat and modifying game files risks a ban. Use only options in the game's own menu.
What if NetEase adds a slider?
It would appear in the patch notes at marvelrivals.com. We will update this page then.
