Cataphract GL3 is a Strand Grenade Launcher for the Power slot that fires Heavy ammo. Its intrinsic is the Adaptive Frame, and the ornament it unlocks at Gear Tier 5 is called Infamous Cataphract GL3.

Cataphract GL3 perks and traits

The two trait columns of Cataphract GL3 draw from these pools. The left column can roll Envious Assassin, Impulse Amplifier, Auto-Loading Holster, Envious Arsenal, Quickdraw, Blast Distributor and Lead From Light. The right column can roll Chain Reaction, Full Court, Bait and Switch, Explosive Light, Vorpal Weapon, Demolitionist and Impromptu Ammunition.

Its origin trait can be Fleet Footed, Roar of Battle or Omolon Fluid Dynamics. Gear Tier is a ladder of upgrades: Tier 3 unlocks enhanced weapon mods, Tier 4 enhances the first two weapon components, and Tier 5 enhances the origin trait and unlocks the ornament and a Combat Flair.

Where it comes from

Cataphract GL3 is a Trials of Osiris weapon. Trials is open on Friday-to-Tuesday weekends outside Iron Banner weeks, and Saint-14 focuses tiered Trials gear with Trials engrams, so a player can aim a Trials engram at this weapon.

Strand. It is a Legendary Grenade Launcher, not an Exotic, and it uses Heavy ammo.

When is Trials of Osiris live?

Every weekend from Friday reset to Tuesday reset, except in Iron Banner weeks, when Iron Banner takes the slot.
