The PvP section sells the currencies of the Fields of Hatred, the endgame zones of Diablo 4 where players fight monsters and each other. Mephisto cursed these areas of Sanctuary, and the zones mix PvE and PvP: you kill monsters, bosses and other players for experience, loot and resources, and the more you kill, the higher the price on your death. The section currently has two products, Seeds of Hatred and Red Dust.

From Seeds of Hatred to Red Dust
- Monsters, events and chests in the Fields of Hatred drop Seeds of Hatred.
- A character purifies Seeds into Red Dust at an Altar of Extraction. Starting the ritual notifies other players, who can try to kill whoever began it.
- If a character dies, the unpurified Seeds drop and others can pick them up. Leaving the zone without purifying makes them disappear.
- Purified Red Dust is bound to the player and does not drop on death.
Where Seeds come from
Ordinary monsters and events in the zone drop Seeds of Hatred, and so do chests. Baleful Chests can be opened only by a player who is marked for blood. Treasure Goblins at the edge of the zone carry items and gold. The Abomination that patrols the area is the largest single source of Red Dust, and killing it also completes Whisper quests for players who have them.
What Red Dust buys
Red Dust pays for special transmogs, new mounts and weapons from the PvP vendors. It also buys consumables that work only inside the Fields of Hatred, the Cursed Scrolls of Chaos, Recklessness and Tranquility, and gambles for armor pieces at the Unsavory Oddities vendor, which works like the Purveyor of Curiosities but with a far smaller selection.
The risks of the zone
- Once inside, a player can turn on Mark for Blood to attack other players, and a marked player can be attacked freely. You can also enter the zone without the mark and fight monsters only. The mark is removed at the Altar of Cleansing in town.
- Deaths in the Hardcore version of the zone are permanent.
- Fights are not designed to be fair: there is no system for one-on-one duels, so groups have the edge.
What is the difference between Seeds of Hatred and Red Dust?
Seeds are the unsafe form that can be lost on death or by leaving the zone. Red Dust is what a purified Seed becomes, and it is the currency the vendors accept.
Is Hardcore different in the Fields of Hatred?
Yes. A death in the Hardcore version of the zone is permanent, so the risk is higher than in Softcore.
Do the lots have a realm or mode option?
No. After payment a manager agrees the character, the realm and the mode with you in live chat or Discord.
