Badges changed the most in NBA 2K27. 2K lists 53 of them, 19 new, and six returning ones were dropped. Every build starts with 20 Badge slots, and a Badge can be equipped when the build meets its attribute threshold and the Badge Tokens for it have been earned in the same discipline. This section sells that progress so a build is ready for The City, the REC and the Park without weeks of meter work.

How Badge progress works
Each of the six disciplines has its own meter: Shooting, Finishing, Playmaking, Defense, Rebounding and Physicals, the last one new this year. Play in a discipline, run Team Practice drills or use Gatorade workouts, and the meter pays Tokens that stay in that discipline. Bonus Tokens and Bonus Slots from Seasons, Crews and Build Specialization can go anywhere, and any Token can be reassigned. Synergy is a second system: Fuse slots give a Badge a +1 or +2 boost without costing Tokens, Reaction Badges follow a paired Fuse Badge, and Legend tier comes through Synergy alone. Up to three extra Badge Loadouts can be earned on top of the default one.
Lot types in this section
- Badge Tokens: 1 to 15 Tokens in a discipline of your choice, including Rebounding and Physical.
- Finishing Badges: up to 11, among them Rise Up, Posterizer and the new Ghost Stepper.
- Shooting Badges: up to 9, among them Limitless Range, Deadeye and the new Set and Fire.
- Defense Badges: up to 12, among them Interceptor, Glove and the new Wall Up.
- Playmaking Badges: up to 10, among them Dimer, Ankle Assassin and the new Pace.
Choosing a lot
Pick the discipline lot when your build leans on one skill and you know which Badges you want. Pick Badge Tokens when you need flexibility or a discipline without its own lot. The manager checks with you in chat which Badges matter most to you, because your attributes and height decide what each Badge costs and what it can reach. Badge tiers such as Gold and Hall of Fame follow from the Tokens and attributes your build holds.
Requirements
An NBA 2K27 account with a MyPLAYER on PC, PlayStation or Xbox, and attributes that meet the threshold of the Badges you plan to equip. Tokens do not raise attributes. A booster plays the build while you are offline.
FAQ
Do I get Legend Badges here?
No. Legend tier comes through Synergy slots by boosting a Gold or Hall of Fame Badge, which is a separate step on your build.
Why does each slider stop at a different number?
The discipline sliders end at the number of Badges in that discipline: 11 Finishing, 9 Shooting, 12 Defense and 10 Playmaking.
Can Tokens be moved to another discipline?
Tokens earned in a discipline stay there. Bonus Tokens from Seasons or Crews can be placed in any discipline.
