About Legacy Challenges

The Legacy System is WoW Forever's account-wide progression layer, and it has three parts: Legacy Challenges, Legacy Perks and Legacy Rewards. Every challenge is worth one Legacy Point, the points belong to your Battle.net account, and they work on all non-Hardcore characters. The system opens once the account has a Legacy Point, which for most players happens when a character reaches level 25. It also opens with 150 skill in a non-gathering primary profession or by exploring the whole world map. After that the Legacy window opens from the shield icon on the menu or with the default Y key. This section sells the challenges themselves, completed by our team.

What you can buy here

The 65 challenges

Blizzard counts 65 challenges in six groups. It plans new challenges and perks with every content release, and new rewards with each content update.

  • Classes, 27 points: each of the nine classes at levels 25, 45 and 60.
  • Tradeskills, 18 points: skill 150, 225 and 300 in each of the six non-gathering primary professions.
  • PvP, 12 points: PvP rank 3, rank 7, rank 10, rank 13 and rank 14, Exalted with each battleground reputation, and the Season's Journey quests of weeks 4, 7 and 10.
  • Dungeons, 3 points: the final bosses of all dungeons at levels 15 to 25, 26 to 45 and 46 to 60.
  • Raids, 3 points: Onyxia, all 13 Hyjal Summit bosses and all 8 Barrow Deeps bosses, available from 9 December 2026.
  • Adventure, 2 points: the whole world map explored on one character, and the Lord Valthalak dungeon set questline.

Lots in this section

There is a lot for each group and a bundle. Class Legacy Challenges levels up to nine characters, and Adventure Legacy Challenges covers exploration and the Lord Valthalak questline. Dungeon Legacy Challenges also sits in Dungeons, Tradeskill Legacy Challenges in Professions, Raid Legacy Challenges in Raids and PvP Legacy Challenges in PvP. The Legacy Challenges Bundle offers Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers that combine classes, professions, dungeons, exploration and PvP in one order.

Perks and rewards

Legacy Points are spent on perks in three trees: Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness. Examples are Working Overtime for faster skill gains, Well Rested for a higher rested experience cap, For Great Honor for more Honor and Diplomat for more reputation. Talented unlocks talent points up to five levels earlier, and Bountiful Harvest finds extra Scarce resources when mining, herbing or skinning. Each character spends its own points, so two characters on one account can pick different perks. A character can spend up to 16 points at launch, and one character can earn up to 29 without alts, so the full 65 is an account project spread over several characters. Points also build towards four rewards: the Replica Ironforge Air Rifle toy, the Spectral Bear Cub pet, the Spectral Bear Tabard and the Reins of the Spectral Bear mount. Blizzard does not publish the point levels for them, and the mount's item data lists 55.

Before you order

Each lot has a ruleset choice: PvE, which is Blizzard's Normal ruleset, PvP, or RP for Roleplaying. On the PvP ruleset an account holds characters of a single faction, and groups never cross rulesets or factions. Hardcore is not part of the launch. The raid challenges wait for the raids to open, and PvP ranks and Season's Journey weeks advance week by week because Rank Points have a weekly cap. Most lots ask for a level 60 character, so Powerleveling can come before them.

FAQ

Can one character earn all 65 points?

No. Blizzard puts the limit at 29 points for a single character without alts. Each class needs its own character, and a character holds two primary professions.

Do Legacy Points carry across rulesets?

Yes. Collections and Legacy Points are account-wide across rulesets, while Hardcore is handled separately and is not available at launch.

How will Hardcore characters fit in?

Hardcore arrives after launch. Challenges completed on other rulesets do not show up there, while a challenge earned in Hardcore counts on every other ruleset. PvP challenges cannot be completed in Hardcore, so Blizzard plans 12 Hardcore-specific challenges for its launch.

Which challenges take the longest?

PvP ranks and Season's Journey weeks, because Rank Points are capped each week and the journey runs week by week. Raid challenges depend on the raids opening on 9 December 2026.

Are the challenge names in the lots Blizzard's names?

Not always. Blizzard describes the challenges by their goals, so labels such as Novice Spelunker, Conqueror of the Lair or Master of Alterac are names of our options.

When do orders start?

WoW Forever launches on 4 November 2026, so orders placed earlier wait for the game. Raid challenges start when the raids open on 9 December 2026.
