What the climb to 100 involves

Size. Level 100 needs 332,963,270 EXP in total, and levels 80 to 100 hold 264,643,000 of it, about 80%.
Story stretches. A Realm Reborn runs 1 to 50, Heavensward 50 to 60, Stormblood 60 to 70, Shadowbringers 70 to 80, Endwalker 80 to 90 and Dawntrail 90 to 100.
Last stretch. The Dawntrail scenario is 100 quests, followed by 43 more at level 100 that tie off the story before Evercold.

Options that change the result

Aether Currents. Flying in a zone needs every current attuned. A newest-expansion zone has 10 field currents and 5 quest ones, an older zone 4 and 5, so Endwalker's six zones hold 54 and Dawntrail's six hold 90. The two extras cover those zones.
Gearing. Pentamelded gear at item level 710 or 720 is on offer. Current gear runs higher: Historia at 750, Praemagitek at 765 and Heavyweight at 770.
Stream. Adds a live view of the work.

For levels 1 to 90, the lot asks for the Endwalker scenario to be finished, and for levels 91 to 100 the Dawntrail scenario.

Main job leveling FAQ

Why does the main job level faster than an alt job?

Quests grant EXP once per character, so an alt job has to earn the same levels from dungeons, roulettes, FATEs and similar sources instead.

Is 100 the final level?

For now. The Evercold scenario is listed for levels 100 to 110 and the expansion is due in January 2027, so an order that stops at 100 will leave you at the cap until then.
