Shade of Orobyss	A miniboss met at Echo of a World nodes that can be completed only by winning the fight. He appears in one of five elemental forms, uses form-bound and Void abilities, and has his own drop table.
Result of a Shade kill	Defeating the Shade brings corruption onto the timeline and resets it. The corruption is permanent and raises monster stats, item rarity and stability gain.
Shade drops by corruption	Siphon of Anguish and Stymied Fate drop at any corruption. Apathy's Maw needs 50 or more corruption, Shattered Chains 120 or more and Omnis 200 or more.
Gaze of Orobyss	Each empowered timeline boss kill adds one Gaze. Killing the Shade consumes all Gazes for extra corruption, and the Gazes are lost if you die to him.
Empowered timeline start	Empowered (level 100) timelines start at 100 corruption. Sanctuary of Eterra nodes, which reduce corruption, appear in them once corruption is above 100.
Corruption and the Season 5 pinnacle	Pinnacle Morditas, the God of Bloodshed, needs 400 corruption to be placed in the Echo Web and does not scale difficulty with corruption.
Weaver Tree corruption node	The Weaver Tree has a node that removes the corruption gained from slaying the Shade of Orobyss, and another that lets the Shade ambush you in your echoes.
