What Chaos Orbs are spent on

Rerolling a Rare. The orb works on Rare items only. Omens change which line goes: Omen of Whittling removes the lowest level modifier, Omen of Sinistral Erasure removes only prefixes and Omen of Dextral Erasure only suffixes.
Waystones. With an Omen of Chaotic Rarity, Quantity, Monsters or Effectiveness, the next Chaos Orb replaces all modifiers on a Waystone with ones that do not grant that stat.
Trading. It is listed on the Currency Exchange, so orbs you do not craft with can be sold on.

How delivery works here

Pick the variation for your ladder, softcore or hardcore, then set the amount: steps of 100 from 400 to 2,000 on softcore, steps of 1 from 10 to 100 on hardcore.
Orbs travel in stacks of 20, so 400 orbs is 20 stacks and 2,000 is 100 stacks. Keep enough free stash or inventory space for the full amount.
The supplier sends a friend request and a party invite, then trades the orbs to your character.
Express is an option on both variations.

No. Its effect applies to Rare items. A Magic item needs to be upgraded to Rare first.

How many orbs fit in one stack?

Twenty. The Chaos Orb has a stack size of 20, which is why a 100-orb hardcore order arrives as five stacks.
