The Sha'tar is the faction of the naaru who watch over Shattrath, and it stays neutral to both Horde and Alliance. We farm its reputation on your account to the standing you order, so its gear, recipes and heroic attunement are ready when you need them.

Key facts

Faction	Neutral naaru-led faction of Shattrath City under A'dal, seated at the Terrace of Light
Main ways to gain reputation	Tempest Keep dungeons: Mechanar (about 1,620 per clear, 2,100 heroic), Botanica (2,200, heroic 3,245), Arcatraz (1,800, heroic 2,600), plus 25-29 quests
Reputation limits	Aldor or Scryer quests and turn-ins also give half as much Sha'tar reputation, but only up to 5999/6000 Friendly
Reputation boost	A'dal's Song of Battle: +10% reputation in Tempest Keep instances for two hours after anyone on the realm completes the Kael'thas quest
Rewards at Revered	Xi'ri's Gift, Blessed Scale Girdle, Recipe: Alchemist Stone, Formula: Enchant Weapon - Major Healing
Rewards at Exalted	A'dal's Command, Crest of the Sha'tar, Gavel of Pure Light, Recipe: Flask of the Titans, Sha'tar Tabard
Heroic key	Warpforged Key for heroic Tempest Keep dungeons, sold by Almaador at Revered
Heroic key from 22 October 2026	With the Zul'Aman update on 22 October 2026 Blizzard lowers the standing needed to buy heroic dungeon keys to Honored
Heroic key on Anniversary realms	Heroic dungeon attunements are account-wide on Anniversary realms, through Bind to Account "Communal" keys
Combined Exalted reward	Exalted with the Cenarion Expedition, the Sha'tar and the Aldor or the Scryers lets you buy raid-only flasks from Arcanist Xorith and Haldor the Compulsive for Marks of the Illidari
Standings covered	Neutral to Exalted, from your current standing to the one you pick
