Each enemy flag your side captures gives 35 reputation. On Call to Arms holiday weekends the gain is 45.
The Silverwing Sentinels quest Report from the Northern Front gives 10 reputation.
Since patch 2.0.1, Warsong Gulch Marks of Honor give no reputation when turned in.

The four steps

Each standing needs its own amount of reputation: 3,000 while Neutral, 6,000 while Friendly, 12,000 while Honored and 21,000 while Revered. The full climb is 42,000 reputation, and you can order it standing by standing.
