A monster set in Elder Scrolls Online has two pieces, a head and a shoulder piece, available in every armor weight and in every trait except Nirnhoned. How the pieces are obtained in the game
- Head: always dropped by the last boss of the matching group dungeon on Veteran difficulty, and never on Normal.
- Shoulders: bought from Undaunted pledge masters with Undaunted keys. A coffer of one dungeon's shoulders costs 8 keys, and a mystery coffer from the pledge master's pool costs 1 key.
- The Golden in Cyrodiil sometimes sells pieces for gold or Alliance Points.
- Imperial City has six sets, with heads from the matching boss or the district trophy vaults and shoulders for Tel Var stones. The Night Market carries Glittering Goad, The Ruckus and Thousand Eyes.
What the gear options mean
- Helm is the head piece of the named set, and Shoulders is the shoulder piece.
- Full Set covers both pieces, which is what activates the set bonus.
Requirements
- A character with 160 Champion Points; the game requires Champion Points to wear Level 50 gear.
- Sets from DLC dungeons need that DLC on the account or an ESO Plus membership, which gives access to every DLC game pack while it runs.
- Piloted or Remote Control as the method, on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.

Why does the Helm need Veteran difficulty?
The head pieces cannot be obtained from Normal mode dungeons. The reliable source is the last boss on Veteran, which is the run a Helm order follows.
Can I order a set that is not from a dungeon?
Imperial City and Night Market sets follow different rules: IC heads come from the matching boss or trophy vaults, and their shoulders cost Tel Var stones. Ask the manager before you pick one of those.
