Onlyfarms completes the Onyxia attunement chain on your Season of Discovery character. In SoD, Onyxia's Lair is a level 60 raid rebuilt for 20 players that scales up to 40, and the Drakefire Amulet is required to enter. Warcraft Tavern calls the chain the longest attunement in the game. Choose Horde or Alliance on the page, since the two sides finish with different quests.

What the chain gives you

The Drakefire Amulet. The final quest is Drakefire Amulet for the Alliance and Blood of the Black Dragon Champion for the Horde, both level 60. The amulet adds +15 Fire Resistance.
Access to the raid. Onyxia's Lair came to Season of Discovery with patch 1.15.3 on 9 July 2024 and resets twice a week.
A shortcut for alts. After the chain, Squire Rowe in Stormwind or Eitrigg in Orgrimmar sells the Chipped Drakefire Amulet, an account-bound version that needs level 50. Your other characters can use it and skip the chain.

The raid after the attunement

One boss: Onyxia herself, with Onyxian Whelps and Warders as the trash.
Season of Discovery removes the Tier 2 helms from her loot table.
Groups of 20 are the tuned size, and up to 40 players can enter.

Requirements

A level 60 character on a Season of Discovery realm.
The faction you select, Horde or Alliance.
Piloted is the only method offered, and Stream is the only extra.

Do my alts need the whole chain?

No. Once one character has finished the chain, the Chipped Drakefire Amulet from Squire Rowe or Eitrigg lets alts enter. It costs about 9 gold 41 silver.

Is Season of Discovery still running?

Yes. The last content phase, Phase 8, arrived in April 2025, and Blizzard said the realms would stay live.
