Brawl Stars Progression, Currencies and Rewards Glossary
Brawl Stars has rebuilt its progression several times, so many guides describe systems that no longer exist. Brawl Boxes went in December 2022, Star Points and Pin Packs in April 2023, Mastery in June 2025, Trophy resets in February 2026 and Starr Road in August 2026. This page sorts fifteen searched terms into what is current, what was reworked and what was removed, with the date for each. Everything describes the game on 2 November 2026, during Season 55 (Brawl-o-ween, ending 5 November 2026).

Creator Code
A creator code ties your Brawl Stars account to a content creator in the Supercell Creators program. You enter it in the Shop and can change it at any time. Codes are published by the creators themselves on YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and other social media; the game has no built-in list.
When the system launched as Creator Boost in October 2019, Supercell explained that it costs the player nothing: about 5% of the Gem value a supporter spends is paid to the creator in real money. In that first version the choice expired after seven days unless renewed.
Codes are also used for events. In #CreatorCoffins (26 to 29 October 2026, announced on 23 October), entering a creator's code on the event page joined their community for all four days and also set it as your shop code, which could still be changed without affecting the event. A new daily task arrived at 08:00 UTC, completing it filled a community meter, and players earned Brawl-o-ween Boxes, drops and an exclusive Coffin Box Pin. The sealed coffin prize itself went to the creator.
The wider program is covered in Supercell Creators.
Credits
Credits are the currency that unlocks new Brawlers. They arrived on 12 December 2022, the same update that removed Brawl Boxes, and come from the Shop, Starr Drops, the Daily Streak, the Trophy Road, Brawl Pass tiers, Quests and Challenges.
Since the August 2026 update, Credits fill the Brawler Blast (the reworked Starr Road). Credits count toward the next rarity in a set order, shown in the Brawler Collection, and costs per rarity stayed the same:
| Rarity | Credits per Brawler |
|---|---|
| Rare | 160 |
| Super Rare | 430 |
| Epic | 925 |
| Mythic | 1,900 |
| Legendary | 3,800 |
| Ultra | 5,500 |
On 1 September 2026 Rare and Super Rare Brawlers also left the Trophy Road and were replaced there by equivalent Credits. Credits were also handed out as compensation to players who had already unlocked every Brawler of a rarity. Once every Brawler is owned, Credits go toward Fame tiers instead. "Ultra" is the August 2026 name for the former Ultra Legendary rarity.
Daily Deal
Daily Deals were a rotating set of Shop offers. They included Power Points for Coins (2 Coins per Power Point), Gadgets (1,000 Coins) and Star Powers (2,000 Coins) for Brawlers at the right level, and sometimes a random Brawler of a set rarity or a Mega Box for 60 Gems.
They were removed on 12 December 2022 and replaced by the Daily Freebie, a free daily Shop item (Brawl Pass owners get one extra). The rest of today's daily rewards come from two newer systems:
- Daily Streak (since February 2025, unlocked at 15 Trophies): one reward per day such as Coins, Power Points, Credits, Bling, Gems or Starr Drops. A new reward unlocks at 08:00 UTC. Missing two days in a row resets the streak to Day 1 unless you pay Gems to keep it (up to 29 Gems on Day 29). The track opens strongly: Day 1 is a Starr Drop and Day 2 a Hypercharge Starr Drop.
- Daily Wins (see Star Drop Refresh).
Golden Week
Golden Week was a limited-time Challenge, not a permanent mode or a Shop sale. The 2023 run started on 29 April 2023, had unlimited lives and asked for 10 wins, with the Golden Kawaii Profile Icon as the final reward.
Challenges are separate time-limited events with their own rules and reward tracks, which is why a name like "Golden Week" only makes sense with a year attached. If you see a Golden Week Challenge again, expect new rewards rather than the Golden Kawaii icon. Current Challenges appear in the event list.
Mastery Points
Mastery was a per-Brawler progression system added on 28 February 2023, replacing Experience. A Brawler earned Mastery Points from wins in Trophy matches, Ranked and Mega Pig, with an extra 30% for being Star Player (from 25 April 2023 even in a lost match). From 27 August 2024 a match needed at least 10,000 damage points to count, to stop idle farming. Mastery levels gave Coins, Power Points, Credits, Pins, icons and Titles.
It was removed on 24 June 2025 and replaced by Records. Records also progress by winning, but every win counts the same regardless of the Brawler's Trophy count. Record rewards are Starr Drops and guaranteed Legendary Starr Drops. The Brawler cosmetics that Mastery used to give (Facepalm Pins, secondary Brawler icons and Titles) now come from collecting Brawler Trophies. Records mix account-wide tasks, tied to overall progress, with tasks for specific Brawlers or modes. Completing them gives Record Points, which raise your Record Level. If an old guide tells you to farm Mastery on a high-Trophy Brawler for faster points, that advice no longer applies: a win on a 100-Trophy Brawler counts the same as one at 2,000.
Pin Pack
Pin Packs were Shop and Brawl Pass bundles of Pins, the emote stickers used in battle and chat. The weekend Shop pack cost 49 Gems and held 2 Common Pins plus a third that was Rare (85%) or Epic (15%). Single-rarity packs cost 29, 79 or 99 Gems. If you already owned every Pin, a Brawl Pass pack paid 275 Credits instead.
Pin Packs were removed in the 25 April 2023 update. Pins now come from Starr Drops, Shop offers and the Catalog. In battle you can equip 3 Brawler Pins and 2 Player Pins as emotes, and the game keeps your five most recently used Pins in a quick shortcut.
Power Cube
Power Cubes are a Showdown mechanic. You collect them by defeating enemies or breaking Power Cube Boxes, and they last until the end of the match.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Bonus per cube | +400 health and +10% to attack stats |
| Cubes dropped by a defeated enemy | 1 plus a third of what they carried, capped at 5 |
| Power Cube Box health | 4,500 to 8,500, scaled by the match's average Power Level |
The +400 health value has been in place since 11 August 2017, when it replaced a 10% health boost. Cubes act like a temporary Power Level for attacks, Supers, Gadgets and Star Powers, so a player with several cubes beats an equal Brawler without them. Because a defeated player drops cubes, third-partying is common: fast assassins such as Crow, Mortis, Leon and Edgar wait for a fight to end and collect the winner's cubes. Poison gas closes in from the edges of the arena as the match goes on.
Season Quests
Quests are tasks that award Brawl Pass XP. Small Quests unlock at 60 Trophies, Medium and Hard Quests at 230 Trophies. The free pass gives two Small Quests per day (200 XP each, reset after 24 hours); with the Brawl Pass active you get three. Medium and Hard Quests stay for the whole season.
You have five rerolls per week, but only one Small Quest can be rerolled. A reroll keeps the XP but changes the objective and the Brawler or event, and resets progress.
Mega Quests are a chain of harder goals: finishing one unlocks the next, up to 13 per season, each worth 1,500 XP plus a reward such as a box, Coins or Starr Drops. You can swap the current Mega Quest for one of 3 choices, and the last two are Brawl Pass exclusive.
| Pass | Price (USD, varies by region) | Extra |
|---|---|---|
| Brawl Pass | $8.99 | Third daily Small Quest, extra Daily Freebie, exclusive Mega Quests |
| Brawl Pass Plus | $12.99 | Adds Buffie Keys, a 20% progression boost and extra resources |
Season Reset
There are now two different kinds of season, and neither resets Trophies.
- Ranked ends a season every month and lowers every player's rank for the next one.
- Brawl Pass seasons run about a month each (Season 55, Brawl-o-ween, is current), and the Pro Pass season lasts four months, starting on the third Thursday. Pro Pass XP comes from Ranked wins and from points on Brawl Stars' official event site; the pass has 100 tiers, a tier can be skipped for 30 Gems, and after Tier 100 every 6,500 Pro Pass XP pays a Legendary Starr Drop.
The Trophy reset no longer exists. On 25 February 2026 Supercell removed Trophy seasons, the Trophy reset, Trophy Boxes and Season Trophies. In their place came per-Brawler Trophy Roads and a new Prestige system that locks a Brawler's Trophies at every multiple of 1,000, so they cannot fall below the last threshold. The same update made Trophy losses outweigh gains only above 2,000 Trophies (from 1,100). Since 30 June 2026 each new Prestige level is announced in Club Chat, and total Prestige shows on your profile and the leaderboards.
The per-Brawler Trophy Roads keep growing: World 8 was added on 30 June 2026 and World 9 on 1 September 2026.
Older guides that tell you to push Trophies before the season ends describe the pre-2026 system. For the old rank milestone, see Rank 35 in Brawl Stars.
Special Quests
Special Quests are one of the four Quest types (Small, Medium, Hard, Special). They last for the entire season and can be completed only once. Rewards vary: Power Points, Coins, Bling, Credits or Starr Drops. Other exclusive Quests, usually tied to events or collaborations, award Pins, Sprays, Profile Icons or even Brawlers.
Some Quests can be progressed before you buy the Brawl Pass, but the reward is only paid once the pass is activated, so progress made early is not lost. Because Special Quests do not refresh, check them at the start of a season and plan your matches around them rather than finding them in the last week.
Star Drop Refresh
The official name is Starr Drop, with two Rs. Starr Drops arrived on 27 June 2023 and are the main random reward in the game.
Daily Wins, unlocked at 50 Trophies, give a reward for each of your first 6 wins of the day; the rewards are random and change each season. This replaced the older daily Starr Drops (one at the 1st, 4th and 8th win) on 28 October 2025, which is what older guides mean by a daily drop "refresh". Starr Drops also come from the Daily Streak, Trophy Road, Brawl Pass and Pro Pass, Quests, Challenges, Mega Pig, Records and the Oddities Shop.
| Drop type | Rarity odds |
|---|---|
| Starr Drop | Rare 50%, Super Rare 28%, Epic 15%, Mythic 5%, Legendary 2% |
| Chaos Drop (since 16 December 2025) | Super Rare 50%, Epic 28%, Mythic 12%, Legendary 6%, Ultra 2%; can split into 2, 4 or 8 drops |
Starr Drops can contain Coins, Power Points, Credits, Bling, Gadgets, Star Powers, Hypercharges, Brawlers and cosmetics, but never Gems or Gears. Most drops stay small: a Rare Starr Drop gives 50 Coins (41.86%), 25 Power Points (32.56%), 100 XP Doublers (20.93%), 10 Credits (2.33%) or 20 Bling (2.33%). Mythic, Legendary, Hypercharge, seasonal and licensed skins cannot come from Starr Drops.
Star Points
Star Points were a currency earned at the end of each Trophy season (for Brawlers above 500 Trophies), at Brawler rank milestones, from Power League seasons and from some Quests and Challenges. They were spent on exclusive Star skins and could not be bought with real money.
They were removed on 25 April 2023 and replaced by Bling, which buys skins, Pins, Sprays and Icons, mainly from Featured Offers and the Oddities Shop. Bling comes from the Daily Streak, Trophy Road, Starr Drops, Brawl Pass tiers and Quests. Star skins stayed in the game and can now be bought with Gems or Bling. The Star Shop that Star Points fed had already lost its Brawl Boxes on 12 December 2022, when boxes left the game, so anything an old guide says about buying boxes with Star Points is doubly out of date.
Starr Park
Starr Park is the in-universe theme park where Brawl Stars is set. It is a setting, not a currency or a game mode. The in-game Starr Park map shows the environments the arenas use, such as the Starr Park Entrance (the Training Cave and tutorial), Oasis and Canyon.
Release notes keep adding to the story. The June 2026 notes introduce Nori, the Legendary Assassin, as the first Brawler ever born in Starr Park, and the August 2026 notes describe Cosmo as the lead astronomer at the park's Observatory.
Starr Road
Starr Road used to be the Credits track where each Brawler rarity was unlocked in turn; Pierce, for example, joined it on 1 January 2026. In the August 2026 update it was reworked into Brawler Blast, a shooting-gallery opening. Up to 10 unowned Brawlers of the current rarity appear as targets and the last one standing is yours; with fewer than 10, the rest are blank targets that fall first.
Knocking targets down can reveal Gem Fragments, which become upgrades for the new Brawler:
| Fragments | Upgrade |
|---|---|
| 1 | +1 Power Level |
| 2 | +2 Power Levels, a random Gadget or a random Super Rare Gear |
| 3 | +3 Power Levels or a random Star Power |
| 4 | +4 Power Levels, a Hypercharge or a random Buffie |
Each opening is limited to one of each upgrade type and +10 Power Levels. There is a 50% chance to choose your Brawler instead of taking the last target; when a choice appears it is between 2 Brawlers 57.14% of the time, 3 Brawlers 28.57% and 4 Brawlers 14.29%. A single opening reveals between 1 and 17 Gem Fragments in total, and 4 is the most common result (20.04%), so most new Brawlers arrive with a few free Power Levels or an ability. The Starr Road and Fame buttons left the Home screen; Brawler Blast and Fame now sit in the Brawler Collection.
Win Streak
A Win Streak counts consecutive wins with the same Brawler. From the second win in a row, the Brawler gets +1 extra Trophy per win on top of the normal gain, growing with the streak. Since 25 February 2026 the bonus is capped at +10 (it was +5).
A loss resets the counter; a draw does not. In Showdown, 5th place in Solo or 3rd in Duo and Trio counts as a draw, so it neither extends nor breaks the streak. The bonus stops at 2,000 Trophies (Prestige 2), where bot matches and the Underdog bonus are also switched off. Below that line, Underdog matches (shown with a yellow banner on the end screen) have cost no Trophies on a loss since 30 June 2026, so a losing Underdog game does not hurt your count even though it ends the streak. Streaks of 2 or more show in the Brawlers menu, and above 6 the flame turns yellow.
