Amazing experience
Exactly what I was hoping for. The booster was professional and super polite. Highly recommend.
HOTA is short for Hammer of the Ancients, a Barbarian Core skill that slams a two-handed bludgeoning weapon into a concentrated area for heavy Physical damage. The Season 15 endgame setup uses no Basic skill at all: its Fury comes from the Insight polearm, gear affixes and the Booming variant of Rallying Cry. This lot builds a HOTA Barbarian at Torment I (Paragon 50+), Torment IV (Paragon 150+), Torment X (Paragon 225+) or Torment XII (Paragon 250+), Seasonal or Eternal.
| Class and resource | Barbarian; Fury |
|---|---|
| Key skill | Hammer of the Ancients (HOTA): a Core Bludgeoning Martial skill that slams a concentrated area for Physical damage |
| Weapon | Requires a two-handed bludgeoning weapon |
| Endgame skill variant | Explosive: the hammer quakes outward for a much larger area |
| Signature Unique | The Relentless Heart: enemies hit by Hammer of the Ancients take a stacking damage debuff |
| Critical Strike setup | Ring of Red Furor; since patch 3.2.1 its sure Critical Strike effect needs 30 Fury spent instead of 100 |
| Fury source | No Basic skill; Insight (rune-crafted polearm), Fury per second affixes and Rallying Cry with the Booming variant |
| Support skill | Mighty Throw with the Overpower variant, fed by Overpower stacks from Banished Lord's Talisman |
| Mythic Unique priority | Banished Lord's Talisman or Locran's Talisman, then Infinity, Leoric's Crown, Ramaladni's Magnum Opus |
| Talisman setup | 5-piece Sescheron's Fury Charm set, Annihilus Seal, the second Talisman amulet as a Unique Charm |
| Season 15 legacy Unique used | Leoric's Crown (helm): counts as jewelry and increases the effect of the gems and Soul Splinters socketed in it |
| Defensive Unique | Stone of Jordan, with Physical Resistance stacked |
| Playstyle | Tanky and easy to play |
| Torment unlock | Torment IV opens after a Pit tier 25 clear, Torment XII after Pit tier 100 |
Locran's Talisman and Banished Lord's Talisman are both used: one in the amulet slot, the other in the Talisman as a Unique Charm. Five Charms of the Sescheron's Fury set add damage and toughness, with Annihilus as the Seal. The Mythic order starts with one of the two Talismans, then Infinity, Leoric's Crown and Ramaladni's Magnum Opus. Leoric's Crown is one of the nine legacy Uniques added in Season 15: the helm counts as jewelry and strengthens the gems and Soul Splinters socketed in it.
Every tier starts with leveling 1 to 70 and Legendary Aspects in all slots. Torment IV (Paragon 150+) is where Unique items, Greater Affixes, item Masterworking, Glyph leveling, the Paragon board and a Charm Set join. Torment X (Paragon 225+) keeps that list with a higher Paragon level, and Torment XII (Paragon 250+) includes Mythic items as well.
No. It is a generator-less setup: Insight, Fury per second affixes and Rallying Cry with Booming supply the Fury that each slam spends.
A two-handed bludgeoning weapon, since Hammer of the Ancients requires one. The other Barbarian weapons still add their affixes.
