Complete War Plans runs: 3 to 60 full plans of five activity nodes, in steps of 3, on Torment I, IV, VIII, X or XII.
War Plans Skillpoints: 1 to 20 points for one activity tree: Tree of Whispers, Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, Kurast Undercity, Lair Bosses, Infernal Hordes or the Pit of Artificers.
Seasonal or Eternal, Softcore or Hardcore, Self-play or Piloted, with the loot and experience of the runs.

How War Plans progress

Every endgame activity has its own activity tree. Completing activities earns Activity Points for it, and running plans levels the Command Table, which opens deeper progression.
Whispers do not take a node of their own: they double up with any activity in the plan and still earn progress.
Trees change how an activity plays, for example a Butcher in Pit runs or Duriel in place of the Blood Maiden in Helltides.
Patch 3.2.1 raised War Plans experience, which now scales with Torment, and nodes on Torment X and higher give 4 experience orbs instead of 2.
In Season 15, 24 nodes gained a seasonal line that works while you carry the matching Splinter of Evil at a set reputation rank.

War Plans FAQ

Do the points reach my other characters?

Yes, from Season 15 on, when they match in three ways: Eternal or Seasonal, Hardcore or not, Solo Self-Found or not. Each character keeps its own planner.

What happens to Hardcore progress?

At the season change it moves to Eternal only through a living Hardcore character in the same partition, even a level 1 one.
