The Bloody Houndsman is the bloodied counterpart of the Houndsman, an Agent of the Hunter Program whose Mini-Warhounds roam Washington, D.C. The Houndsman first appeared as a special Named bounty target in the 2025 Halloween event, and the Bloody version came with the 2026 Bloody Valentine event. In Red Moon Unleashed, 15 October to 3 November 2026, the Bloody Houndsman is back as one of the three boss encounters.

What the encounter gives

Sure drops: his mask, gloves, backpack and uniform, the Bat Drone Skill VFX and the usual Hunter loot.
No Event Key is dropped by this boss, unlike the Necromancer and the Risen Hunter.
The original Houndsman is immune to every status effect and only takes weapon damage; five named Mini-Warhounds guard him.

How the original bounty worked

Killing a Mini-Warhound had a chance to add the bounty, and the chance grew with each kill that did not trigger it. The 2025 Houndsman Cache held the Houndsman outfit, the Hound backpack trophy, the Bat VFX Drone Mod and the Quickstep Named pistol.

No. Only the Necromancer and the Risen Hunter give keys.

Is the Quickstep pistol connected to the Houndsman?

Yes: the 2025 Houndsman Cache contained the Quickstep Named Tactical M1911 as one of its rewards.
