About Raid Builds

The Division 2 has two raids, Operation Dark Hours and Operation Iron Horse. Both are made for eight Agents, divided into two teams of four, and they are the hardest content of the endgame. Raid groups are built around roles, so this section offers four lots: three role builds and one lot that covers any role. A role build is a full loadout, with the exotic, gear set, mods and skills that the role needs, assembled on your Agent.

What you can buy here

The four lots

  • Best Raid Build: a lot that covers any role. You choose between a custom build, a classic DPS build, a healer build and a tank build.
  • Healer Build: two sets, Final Measure with Scorpio or Future Initiative with Scorpio. Scorpio is the exotic SIX12 shotgun with the Septic Shock talent, added in Title Update 12.
  • Tank Build: built around the Liberty exotic pistol, with options for the Tardigrade armor and the Pointman chest, if you do not own them yet.
  • Raid DPS Build: built on St. Elmo's Engine, an exotic LVOA-C variant, with The Ravenous as an optional addition.

What the options change

Every role lot has the same two upgrade choices. High-Stat Armor sets the attributes of the armor pieces at ninety-five percent of their maximum or better, and Upgrade Gear to Prototype converts the pieces to the new quality tier above High-End, which requires the piece at maximum Expertise. The Additional boxes mark exotics that you already own, for example Scorpio, Liberty, Tardigrade or St. Elmo's Engine, so the lot does not add them again. The healer lot also offers Doctor Home as an add-on, and the Best Raid Build lot starts from a role choice or a custom build with a video of the setup you want.

The raids in short

Operation Dark Hours takes eight Agents to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, where Black Tusk holds the terminal, and is the first raid. Operation Iron Horse follows it and is set around the United Ironworks foundry; its five Named bosses carry the components for the Regulus exotic, and its raid-exclusive loot included the Future Initiative gear set, which was later added to the general loot pool. Dark Hours added Negotiator's Dilemma in the same way. Raids unlock for Agents who have reached the endgame, and every boss has its own mechanics and objectives, which is why the role split matters.

What each role needs

  • Healer: Future Initiative is the healing set. Its Ground Control talent raises total weapon and skill damage for you and your allies by fifteen percent while you are at full armor, and repairing one ally also repairs everyone within five meters for a share of the amount.
  • Tank: Tardigrade Armor System, an exotic chest added with Warlords of New York, gives allies a share of your armor as bonus armor when their armor breaks. Liberty is an exotic variant of the D50 pistol with a high headshot modifier.
  • Damage dealer: St. Elmo's Engine is a variant of the LVOA-C added in Title Update 18, with a 70+1 magazine, 850 rounds per minute and 90 percent stability.

Prototype in raids

Prototype gear can be used in raids, but its stats are normalized to the lower end and its Augments are disabled. The Prototype Core Cache, which supplies the cores for upgrading Prototype pieces, is a raid and Incursion reward. The High-Stat Armor and Upgrade Gear to Prototype options of the lots are therefore most useful outside raids, and the base build is what you will actually bring to the encounter. Related sections are Raids for the raid runs and exotics, and PvE Builds for general loadouts.

Which raid are these builds for?

For both Dark Hours and Iron Horse. The role is what the build is designed for, and a group can swap which Agent plays which role.

Do I need the exotics already?

The lots include the exotic named in them. Tick the pieces you already own, such as Scorpio or Liberty, so they are left out.

What level does a raid build need?

A level 40 Agent with at least 100 SHD points, as the lots state. The Prototype option additionally needs maximum Expertise.

How many Agents does a raid take?

Eight, in two teams of four. The game scales the encounters only for eight players.
