What the build is built around

Foundry Bulwark is a shield set: two pieces raise total armor, three add armor regeneration and shield health, and the four-piece talent, Makeshift Repairs, repairs a share of any damage that hits you or your shield back to both over time. The chest and backpack talents raise that share and speed the repair.

The Tardigrade chest gives bonus armor to allies when armor breaks, and the Pointman chest (Perfect Vanguard) makes a deployed shield invulnerable for a few seconds while giving allies a share of your armor. Liberty is a D50 variant whose talent, Liberty or Death, stacks weapon damage on hits and trades stacks for shield repair on a headshot.

What you get

Liberty exotic pistol, Foundry Bulwark pieces, and either Tardigrade or Pointman as the chest.
Mods for protection from elites, with armor regeneration and hazard protection on the gear.
Skill kit: Bulwark ballistic shield and Reviver Hive; specialization Demolitionist.
'I have Liberty' and 'I have Tardigrade' remove those exotics when they are on your Agent already; 'Add Pointman Chest' adds the named chest alongside the default one.
'Build Upgrade' has three values: None, 'High-Stat Armor (95%)' for armor and mods rolled at 95% or better of their maximum, and 'Upgrade Gear to Prototype', which converts the non-exotic gear to Prototype quality.

Requirements

Character level 40 and an SHD level of 100 or more.
For the Prototype options: each converted piece must be at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30); exotic pieces are not converted.

FAQ about Tank Build

Which chest is better?

That depends on the raid. Tardigrade shields allies when armor breaks, while Pointman gives the shield invulnerability, so teams pick by the encounter.

Why a pistol?

Liberty's stacks come from hits and its headshot refund repairs the shield, so it suits a defender who shoots between blocking.
