What drives this build

Regulus is a Police 686 Magnum variant whose talent, Regicide, makes headshot kills explode, hitting nearby enemies for heavy weapon damage and applying bleed. Chaining headshots through a group becomes a chain of explosions, which is why the rest of the build stacks headshot damage and critical hit chance.

The weapon's blueprint comes from the Operation Iron Horse raid, which makes the item a long collection goal, and it also appeared in the 2025 Winter event's gear caches.

What you get

The Regulus exotic pistol and armor pieces with headshot damage, weapon damage and crit chance attributes.
A Memento backpack, Chainkiller chest, Contractor's Gloves, Providence Holster and Fox's Prayer kneepads, with headshot damage mods.
Skill kit: Bulwark ballistic shield and Reviver Hive; specialization Technician.
'I have Regulus' and 'I have Memento Backpack' skip those exotics if they are already on your Agent.
'Build Upgrade' decides how polished the gear is: None, 'High-Stat Armor (95%)' for 95% attribute rolls, or 'Upgrade Gear to Prototype' for Prototype quality, which adds an Augment to each converted piece.

Requirements

Level 40 and 100 or more SHD points already earned.
For the Prototype options: each converted piece must be at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30); exotic pieces are not converted.

Regulus Build FAQ for buyers

How does the explosion work?

A headshot kill creates a blast around the target that deals heavy weapon damage and applies bleed to everyone hit, so clustered enemies chain into one another.

Where does Regulus come from?

Its blueprint comes from completing Operation Iron Horse and collecting exotic components from the raid's five named bosses.
