Tinkerer's PvE Build

Because the mask duplicates talents, one gun can carry two. The Build Type option lists six pairings: Streamline plus Killer, Optimist plus Killer and Flatline plus Killer on assault rifles; Sadist plus Pressure Point and Frenzy plus Measured on light machine guns; and Determined plus Rifleman on rifles.

The mask does not copy talents that involve weapon swapping, and it does nothing if both weapons share the same talent. Tinkerer was a guaranteed first-clear reward of the Crossroads Climax Mission on Master difficulty.

• Weapons with the talents of the pairing you choose, and the Tinkerer mask with a weapon damage core.
• Striker's Battlegear pieces and a Fenris chest with Obliterate, mods for crit chance and crit damage.
• Skill kit: Banshee Pulse and Reviver Hive; specialization Gunner.
• Pick one of the six talent pairings above; it decides which weapon class and which two talents you receive.
• Core Stats chooses Weapon Damage (red) or Armor (blue) as the core of the armor pieces.
• 'I have Tinkerer's Mask' drops the mask from the order if it is already yours.
• For rolls you can stay with None, choose 'High-Stat Armor (95%)' (armor and mods at 95% of the cap or better), or pick 'Upgrade Gear to Prototype' to convert the non-exotic pieces.

• A level 40 Agent whose SHD Watch has at least 100 points.
• For the Prototype options: each converted piece must be at level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30); exotic pieces are not converted.

Do named weapons work with Tinkerer?

No. The talent copy only applies when neither of the two weapons is exotic or named, so the build uses ordinary High-End weapons with the chosen talents.

Where does the mask come from?

It was introduced as the reward of the Crossroads Climax Mission in 2025 (guaranteed on the first Master clear, lower odds on other difficulties). Since then it has also been in the rare exotic pool of seasonal caches, such as the Year 8 Prestige caches.
