The core of the loadout

Eclipse Protocol spreads effects: its four-piece talent, Indirect Transmission, spreads your status effects on kill to all enemies within ten metres and refreshes part of their duration, while the backpack talent boosts every kind of damage you deal to enemies that are under a status effect. The chest talent widens the spread range.

The Vile mask adds a Skill Tier core, status effect and hazard protection attributes, and its talent, Toxic Delivery, makes status effects also apply a damage-over-time debuff. Scorpio's Septic Shock stacks poison, disorient and shock on every target.

What you get

The Vile exotic mask, the Scorpio exotic shotgun and Eclipse Protocol pieces with status effect attributes.
A Golan holster, skill haste mods and the skills of the chosen Build Type: Firestarter Chem Launcher with a Stinger Hive, or Riot Foam with a trap.
Specialization: Firewall for the fire version or Survivalist for the foam version.
Fire swaps the skill kit to the Firestarter Chem Launcher; Foam uses Riot Foam, which ensnares groups.
'I have Scorpio' and 'I have Vile Mask' remove those exotics from the order if they are already yours.
Under 'Build Upgrade' you can keep the standard result, ask for 'High-Stat Armor (95%)' with armor and mods at 95% of the maximum or above, or convert the gear with 'Upgrade Gear to Prototype'.

Requirements

A level 40 Agent with at least 100 SHD points.
Maximum Expertise (level 30) is needed only for the Prototype upgrade.

Eclipse Status Effect Build FAQ: common questions

Does the set work in PvP?

Yes, though Ubisoft tunes gear sets separately for PvP, so the values differ from PvE.

Why Firewall or Survivalist?

Firewall improves fire and chem launcher effects, and Survivalist suits the foam kit, which is why Build Type changes the specialization.
