Vertigo is an exotic light machine gun added in Year 8 Season 3.1 as one of the two new exotics of the Red Moon Rising event. It has a 250-round belt and fires 825 rounds per minute. Its talent, Startling, punishes suppressed enemies: whenever the weapon suppresses an enemy, that enemy is Disoriented, and for 15 seconds you and your allies deal 30% more damage to targets out of cover.

Base stats: 49,469 damage, 65% headshot damage, 25% accuracy, 75% stability, 35 m range and a 2.90 second reload.

Where it comes from

Vertigo is a drop of the Red Moon Rising event (24 September to 3 November 2026). In the PvE Dark Zone the XB-35 Marauder Phoebe can carry it, and in Red Moon Unleashed the Risen Hunter gives either an Exotic Cache (80%) or Vertigo (20%) after each encounter.

It first dropped in the PvE Dark Zone as a Red Moon Rising pool exotic. The Risen Hunter of Red Moon Unleashed also drops it outside the Dark Zone.
