Pakhan is an exotic light machine gun that returned to The Division 2 from the first Division with Year 7 Season 1: Crossroads. It is an RPK-74 variant, and its talent rewards killing without wasting ammunition: each kill makes the next reload carry extra bullets, which makes the LMG's belt effectively bigger the longer a fight runs.

Key facts

Item	Pakhan, exotic light machine gun (RPK-74 variant)
Talent	Each kill adds a stack of bonus rounds to the next magazine, up to 4 stacks
Returned in	Year 7 Season 1: Crossroads, from The Division
Fixed mods	Muzzle +10% reload speed, optics +15% weapon damage, underbarrel +15% critical hit chance, magazine +20 rounds
Drop sources	LMG targeted loot, for example in Countdown and The Summit, and Exotic Caches

How the Pakhan talent works

Every kill on the current magazine adds a stack, up to four, and the stacks are paid out as extra rounds on the next reload.
Its fixed mods add 20 rounds to the magazine, 15% weapon damage, 15% critical hit chance and 10% reload speed.
The numbers per stack have been retuned between the first game and The Division 2, so the in-game tooltip is the final word.

Where it comes from

Pakhan came back with Year 7 Season 1: Crossroads, which ran from 27 May to 8 September 2025. Players find it through LMG targeted loot, for example in Countdown and The Summit. It is part of the general exotic pool, which means that an Exotic Cache can also contain it.

Pakhan FAQ

Is this the same Pakhan as in the first Division?

It is the same exotic returning, with an altered talent. The first game's version added 20% extra bullets per kill.

Where does the extra ammo come from?

From the talent: kills during one magazine build a counter, and the counter is applied to the next magazine as free bullets.

Is Pakhan tied to a season?

Not any more. It returned in Crossroads and now drops from the general exotic pool and LMG targeted loot.
