Big Alejandro is an exotic light machine gun that came back to The Division 2 from the first game during the 10th Anniversary event (3 March to 2 April 2026). It fires 1,100 rounds per minute from a 200-round belt, and its talent, Cover Shooter, grows with every bullet you fire from cover. It reloads in 4.03 seconds and has no mod slots except the skin.

Cover Shooter

A kill in cover resets the duration.

How it entered the game

During the anniversary event Big Alejandro had a chance to drop from Anniversary Caches and was a fixed reward at Tier 46 of the Anniversary Event Pass, together with its reconfiguration blueprint. The weapon shares its niche with Tipping Scales builds and with the Bluescreen and Pestilence machine guns, because all of them reward long, steady fire. In the Anniversary Caches it was one of two event exotics, next to the Harrier Pride backpack.

Is it the same gun as in the first Division?

It is the same exotic returning. The Division 2 version fires 1,100 rounds per minute from a 200-round belt, and its Cover Shooter talent is slightly different.

Why do builds with Tipping Scales like it?

Both reward staying in one spot and firing a lot; Cover Shooter's bonus keeps growing as long as you keep shooting from cover.

Why is the reload so long?

A 200-round belt takes 4.03 seconds to reload, and a reload also cancels the Cover Shooter bonus.
