Underboss is an exotic submachine gun from Year 8 Season 2: Into the Dark. Its talent, Gangland Hit, marks the enemy you shoot with +20% amplified damage and passes the mark on when you hit a new target, so the SMG works equally on one boss and on a pack. The fixed optic adds +15% critical hit chance.

Gangland Hit

Shooting an enemy applies a mark, and only one mark can be active at a time; shooting another enemy moves it.
In PvE the weapon deals +20% amplified damage to marked enemies, and +5% more for each extra mark placed by other Agents using it.
At most 4 marks can sit on one enemy. The PvP version is smaller: +18% with +2% per extra mark.

Where it comes from

The first completion of the Into the Dark Manhunt Climax Mission on Master difficulty gives Underboss for sure. Repeat runs can still drop it, and higher difficulties raise the chance. Since Red Horizon, Inaya also sells its reconfiguration blueprint to Agents who own the SMG.

It arrived with Into the Dark (Year 8 Season 2). The Climax Mission of that season is its certain source, so it belongs to that season's content.

How does a group change the mark?
