Whiplash is an exotic pistol from Year 8 Season 1: Rise Up, awarded for the first completion of the season's Climax Mission on Master difficulty. Its talent, Faster Than Reloading, turns a holstered pistol into a reload button: keep it holstered for 5 seconds and it primes, and swapping to it then reloads your primary and secondary weapons. The pistol itself fires 180 rounds per minute from a 6-round magazine.

Faster Than Reloading

A pistol holstered for 5 seconds reloads itself and becomes primed.
Swapping to the primed pistol reloads both your primary and your secondary weapon.
While it is primed, fire rate goes up by 20% and weapon damage by 50% until the magazine runs dry; reloading or swapping away early cancels both.

Where it comes from

The Rise Up Climax Mission opened on 26 May 2026. The first completion on Master difficulty gives Whiplash for sure, and later completions can still drop it, with higher difficulties raising the chance. Since Red Horizon, Inaya also sells its reconfiguration blueprint to Agents who own the pistol.

Requirements

A character that has reached the level 40 cap.
Access to the Rise Up Climax Mission on Master difficulty.

Whiplash FAQ

What do the fixed mods give?

Optics: +10% critical damage, underbarrel: +50% swap speed, magazine: +10% critical chance.

How big is the magazine?

Six rounds, with a reload of 1.93 seconds. The talent is what makes the small magazine acceptable.

Is Whiplash a seasonal item?

It came with Rise Up (Year 8 Season 1) as the reward of that season's Climax Mission, which opened on 26 May 2026.

Who benefits most from the reload?

Agents whose primary and secondary weapons reload slowly, such as machine guns, because the swap reloads both at once.
