The Winterspring Frostsaber is an Alliance-only ground mount. Since patch 4.1.0 it is earned through two quests from Rivern Frostwind at Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring, not bought for gold at Exalted. The second quest pays out the Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber together with the reputation that takes you to Exalted with the Wintersaber Trainers. The whole chain takes about 20 days.

The two quests
- Get Them While They're Young (level 15): collect 8 Frostsaber Cubs from the dens around Frostsaber Rock. It gives 3,000 reputation.
- They Grow Up So Fast (level 15): hand in 20 Winterspring Cub Whiskers shed by your Winterspring Cub, plus 20 Runecloth, 20 Rugged Leather and 80 gold. The reward is the mount.
What the second quest takes
The 20 whiskers are shed by your Winterspring Cub. The Runecloth, leather and gold are ordinary hand-in items.

Frostsaber FAQ
Can a Horde character get this mount?
No. The Wintersaber Trainers are an Alliance-only faction. The Horde counterpart is the Ravasaur trainers in Un'Goro Crater, which lead to a different mount.
Does the old Exalted vendor sale still exist?
Only for players who unlocked the mount the old way. For everyone else, the Rivern Frostwind quest is the route.
