The Bound Shadehound is a ground mount from the Maw in Shadowlands, added in patch 9.0.2 and made available in 9.0.5. It is the reward of the Feral Shadehound quest, the last step of a secret that counts for the Mind-Seeker achievement. The path is a chain of purchases, puzzles and materials rather than a boss, so the order is a sequence of steps on one character.

The chain in short
- Ve'nari: Appreciative standing, then the Stygia Dowser for 1,500 Stygia, the Partial Rune Codex for 2,000 Stygia and the Animated Levitating Chain for 1,050 Stygia if it is not owned.
- The puzzle: a rune-swapping puzzle at the Altar of Domination with four swaps allowed. A failed attempt costs a two-hour cooldown.
- Materials: 200 Stygia Dust and 200 Stygia Sliver from Stygia Nexus nodes, three Rune Codex pages, and 20 Stygia Bars crafted at the Soulsteel Anvil.
- The finish: combine the Armored Husk with a Willing Wolf Soul at the Binding Altar in Cocyrus, then summon and bind the Feral Shadehound.
Requirements
- A character that can quest in the Maw at the Shadowlands level cap, with Appreciative reputation with Ve'nari.
- Access to Perdition Hold and the Beastwarrens in the Maw.
- Stygia for the Ve'nari purchases: 3,500 is the listed minimum.

Is this a drop?
No. Nothing has to be killed for a chance: the quest at the end of the chain rewards the mount.
