Every headshot gives a +20% damage bonus that lasts 1.5 seconds; with marksman rifles the window is 5 seconds.
A headshot kill gives +15% total weapon damage for 10 seconds.
The longer window with marksman rifles makes it a natural partner for slow, aimed weapons.
