Base weapon	PDR-C: 700 rounds per minute, 30+1 rounds, 31 m range
Talent	Perfectly In Sync: hits give +20% skill damage, skills give +20% weapon damage, each for 5 seconds; both double when active together
Added in	Title Update 12
Drop sources	Enemies, vendors, weapon chests, Sealed Caches and assault rifle targeted loot; higher chance in Jefferson Plaza
Blueprint	Reconstructed Caches bought with NSA Tech

Perfectly In Sync

A single bullet can give up to +40% to both weapon damage and skill damage.
The buffs can be kept up by blind-firing from cover, so exposed aiming is not required.
The comparison point is the exotic Capacitor: Capacitor reaches +60% skill damage but needs 40 rounds of stacking.

Where it comes from

Test Subject drops from enemies, vendors, weapon chests, Sealed Caches and assault rifle targeted loot, with an increased chance in the Jefferson Plaza main mission. The blueprint comes from Reconstructed Caches bought with NSA Tech.

Options on this lot

High Stats (90%+): the rolled attributes of the rifle sit at 90% of their ceiling or above instead of a random mid roll.
Upgrade to Prototype: turns the rifle into Prototype gear (one Augment, stats that can go up to 1.5x higher than High-End).
Quantity: anywhere from one to ten copies of the rifle.

Requirements

A level 40 Agent; 40 is the level cap of The Division 2.
For the Prototype upgrade: the rifle has to be level 40 and at maximum Expertise (level 30), which needs an Agent at Expertise 30.

Test Subject Assault Rifle FAQ

Is it only for skill builds?

It is aimed at them. The weapon bonus is triggered by using a skill, and the skill bonus is triggered by hitting enemies, so a build without skills gets nothing from the second half.

What is the rifle based on?

The PDR-C. Test Subject keeps its 700 rounds per minute and 30+1 magazine.
