Twisting Blades is a Rogue Core Cutthroat skill: you impale an enemy with your blades, and after a short delay they return to you, piercing every enemy on the way back. The Season 15 endgame build pairs the Bladedancer variant with Poison Imbuement, so the returning blades spin around you and cover health bars in Poisoning damage. This lot builds a Twisting Blades Rogue from Torment I (Paragon 50+) up to Torment XII (Paragon 250+), Seasonal or Eternal.
| Class and resource | Rogue; Energy |
|---|---|
| Key skill | Twisting Blades: a Core Cutthroat Imbueable skill; the blades impale an enemy, then return to you and pierce enemies on the way |
| Weapons | Requires dual-wielded weapons |
| Endgame skill variant | Bladedancer: returning blades cleave and spiral outward around you |
| Imbuement | Poison Imbuement; a Cold version also exists |
| Signature Unique | The Maestro |
| Other Uniques used | Etna's Lost Dagger, Asheara's Khanjar, Fist of the Iron Rose, Godslayer Crown |
| Mythic Unique priority | Etna's Lost Dagger, Leoric's Crown, Fists of Fate, The Maestro, Asheara's Khanjar, Tibault's Will |
| Talisman setup | Sightless set: shorter Ultimate cooldown for Shadow Clone with the Sentry variant |
| Key Legendary Aspects | Aspect of Imitated Imbuement, Aspect of Corruption |
| Season 15 fix (patch 3.2.1) | Aspect of Corruption bonus changed from additive to multiplicative |
| Combo Points effect | Twisting Blades gains damage and a Movement Speed bonus |
| Strengths and limits | Strong against bosses, mobile melee; hard to play optimally, small area, delayed blades |
Aspect of Imitated Imbuement and Aspect of Corruption raise Poison and other non-Physical damage; patch 3.2.1 fixed Aspect of Corruption so its bonus is multiplicative. Asheara's Khanjar adds Attack Speed for a two-dagger setup. The Mythic list starts with Etna's Lost Dagger, then Leoric's Crown, Fists of Fate and The Maestro. It is a melee allrounder that holds up well against bosses, but it is hard to play optimally, its area is small and the blades hit with a delay.
The four options share leveling 1 to 70 and Legendary Aspects in each slot. Torment IV (Paragon 150+) and higher add Unique items, Greater Affixes, Masterworking, Glyph leveling, the Paragon board and a Charm Set; Torment X (Paragon 225+) brings more Paragon, and Torment XII (Paragon 250+) adds Mythic items. Charms need the Talisman, which Lord of Hatred adds.
