Damage over time that explodes

Each Damage over Time type you apply explodes every second, dealing damage over 4 seconds to surrounding enemies. The damage is scaled by your weapon damage, and every separate type on the target produces its own explosion.

Bleeding, Burning and Poison are different types, so applying several to the same enemy makes it explode several times each second.

What changed in Season 15

The Season 15 notes state that the ring can no longer be equipped by Paladins. Before that, every class could wear it. The ring always drops with a main stat and a Damage Over Time Multiplier, which fits builds that stack bleeds, burns and poisons. Examples from the game data are Bleeding from Rend, Burning from Meteor and Poisoning from Rabies, each a separate type.

The explosion spreads damage to surrounding enemies, so each damage-over-time type on one target also hits the pack around it.
