The Phalynx of Loyalty is a ground mount from Bastion, added in Shadowlands patch 9.0.2 on 17 November 2020. It is earned in the Path of Ascension, the Kyrian covenant feature, by defeating Mad Mortimer on Loyalty difficulty. In that content the player takes a Kyrian champion such as Mikanikos through trials, and Mortimer's memory serves as one of them. The mount is not bought; it is a drop from the encounter.

The encounter
- Mad Mortimer: a mad scientist from Maldraxxus whose memory was captured to serve as a Path of Ascension opponent.
- Difficulty: the mount drops on Loyalty difficulty. A weekly Kyrian quest from Artemede also asks for Mortimer to be defeated as Mikanikos in a Trial of Loyalty or higher.
- Covenant lock: the mount is normally only usable by Kyrian members. Renown 80 with the Kyrians opens it to all characters in the same warband.
The phalynx mounts
Its journal text says some within the Ascended keep a phalynx as a pet, and that it is much less likely than a larion to eat your other pets. Other mounts use the same model, including the Eternal Phalynx of Courage, Humility and Purity and the Phalynx of Courage. The Eternal Phalynx of Loyalty is a separate mount, bought from Binkiros after the Death Foursworn achievement.

Phalynx of Loyalty FAQ
Is it the same as the Eternal Phalynx of Loyalty?
No. The Eternal version is a vendor purchase for 2,500 Reservoir Anima, while this mount drops from Mad Mortimer.
Does Mad Mortimer fight in Maldraxxus?
Not for this mount. The encounter is a trial in the Path of Ascension in Bastion.
