Final Fantasy XIV Wiki

Final Fantasy XIV has a vocabulary that players pick up in party chat before any menu explains it, and the entries below translate it. A Sprout is a character with the New Adventurer status, which every character gets at creation. A DPS check is a time-limited stretch of a fight in which the boss or its adds must go down, or they enrage and wipe the party.

Job and fight entries go a step further. Blue Mage is a Limited Job, and instead of gaining actions by leveling up it learns them from enemies. An Unreal Trial brings back an older Extreme trial with the same mechanics, rescaled to the current level cap. Story names have entries too: Alisaie, the twin sister of Alphinaud and one of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, and Innocence, the Lightwarden of Kholusia, whom players fight in The Crown of the Immaculate.

The Onlyfarms shop carries FFXIV services, and the FFXIV guides are the place for step-by-step material. Chat shorthand used across online games, such as LFG and GG, is covered in the general gaming wiki.
