How to Report a Bug (or a Player) in Marvel Rivals
There is no official feature called the "Bug Report Portal" in Marvel Rivals. Bugs go to NetEase through two routes: the in-game report option in Settings and the official Discord support channel, with an email address that guides list but that we could not confirm on an official page. Reporting a player is a separate flow, done from the match screen or from History. Details checked on 12 October 2026; menu names change between builds.
| Route | Best for | How |
|---|---|---|
| In-game report | Bugs, crashes, visual glitches | Settings (gear icon on the home screen) → Other tab → Report, choose the issue, describe it, tick Upload Log, upload. Some builds label it Feedback or Customer Service |
| Discord support bot | Crashes, account issues, follow-up | Join the official Marvel Rivals Discord, open the game support channel and send a direct message to the support bot |
| Long reports with attachments | Guides list marvel_rivals@global.netease.com. Verify the address on the official site before sending anything sensitive | |
| Report a player | Cheating, throwing, abusive chat | During the match from the scoreboard, or later from History → match → Esc → Settings → Report |
What to include in a bug report
- Your platform (PC, PS5, Xbox) and the game version or season, such as Season 10.5.
- Your in-game UID. Support asks for it to find your account.
- Steps to reproduce. What you did, in order, and whether it happens every time.
- Hero, map and mode when it is a gameplay bug.
- Evidence: a screenshot or short clip. Tick Upload Log where offered.
Never send your password, login codes or payment details. The support bot and official staff do not need them.
Check before you report
- Read the latest patch notes at marvelrivals.com. Known issues and fixes are listed there. The Season 10.5 notes, for instance, fix a mislabelled Emoji entry in the Hero Profile.
- Search the community forums, since many glitches are already tracked.
Reporting a player
Player reports are not bug reports. Reasons offered in guides include inappropriate nickname, throwing, text chat abuse, cheating, voice chat abuse and content inappropriate for minors. You can report during or after the match; when you did not do so in the moment, open the match from History, press Esc once the replay starts, then Settings and Report. Pick the one reason that matches best and describe what happened in a sentence. A report of cheating is more useful with a minute mark than with a long story.
Writing a report that gets read
- Use a title that says what broke: "Ultimate does not fire after respawn on Midtown", not "bug".
- One bug per report. Combined reports are harder to route.
- State what you expected and what happened instead.
- If it only happens with a particular setting, such as a controller preset or a graphics mode, say so.
- On console, save a clip with the platform's capture button right after the problem.
What about "Report System 2.0"?
A leak reported in September 2026 describes a revamped player-report interface with a notes field and results by in-game mail. NetEase has not confirmed it, and it concerns players, not bugs. See replay codes and the leak.
FAQ
Do I get a reply?
Discord and email usually generate a ticket reply. The in-game report mostly feeds the developers' logs and may not answer you.
Is there a bug bounty?
Not that we found for the game itself. Some hardware partners have run bug-hunting rewards; check their pages for terms.
Where do I report a stuck match or an account ban?
Through Discord support or the official site, not through in-game bug tools.
